Introduction

The design philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “everything is a plugin.” When using DSH to connect to the Qoder CN model service, developers need to handle protocol details such as COSY signing and WAF encoding. The minglu6/dsh-provider-qoder plugin aims to encapsulate these connection-level configuration issues, allowing developers to access Qoder CN models directly through DSH.

Plugin Overview

This plugin is maintained by user minglu6 and is an adapter plugin for DeepSeek Harness. It is mainly responsible for the following:

  • Route registration: Register the qoder-cn provider route in DSH.
  • Streaming: Handle COSY signing and WAF encoding for streaming communication with gateway.qoder.com.cn.
  • Model catalog: Obtain a signed real-time model catalog from Qoder’s /algo/api/v2/model/list endpoint.
  • Authentication management: Store the PAT on the model page and exchange it for short-lived job tokens across processes.

Installation and Enablement

The installation process requires an environment with dsh already installed.

  1. Run the installation command:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:minglu6/dsh-provider-qoder
  1. Start the web service:
    dsh web

After startup, add the qoder-cn provider in the settings interface and paste the PAT to complete basic configuration.

Configuration and Usage

The plugin registers the llm-qoder settings namespace.

Public cloud usage:
Only add the qoder-cn provider under Settings -> Models and paste the PAT. The connection endpoint does not need to be configured.

Enterprise VPC usage:
Set llm-qoder.vpcInstance in settings.yaml.

Model catalog and overrides:
Unless the models field is configured, the plugin pulls the real-time catalog from Qoder. models is an optional static override configuration used to fully replace live discovery, not extend it. Newly released models (such as gmodel) can appear through the real-time catalog without updating the plugin.

Authentication mechanism:
The PAT is stored on the DSH model page, and the plugin exchanges it for short-lived job tokens at runtime. If the current DSH build does not support treating unknown adapter families as API key cards, export the QODERCN_PERSONAL_ACCESS_TOKEN environment variable as a temporary workaround.

Notes

  • The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process; checking the source code and license before installation is recommended.
  • The model list is fetched dynamically by default; a static models configuration overrides this behavior.
  • If authentication or catalog loading issues occur, confirm whether the DSH version supports the logic for handling unknown adapter families.

Conclusion

By handling low-level signing and encoding logic, the plugin simplifies the process of integrating Qoder CN with DeepSeek Harness. The related source code and documentation are available in its GitHub repository.
