Introduction¶
The DeepSeek Harness Web interface provides dark and light modes by default, but in its plugin-based ecosystem, developers can further customize the UI style. If you prefer a more nostalgic theme or simply want to experience the desktop aesthetics of 1997, you can use the dsh-retro-mac plugin.
The following section introduces the dsh-retro-mac plugin, developed by Leyan0365, which restores the DeepSeek Harness Web interface to the classic Mac OS 8/9 Platinum style.

This plugin is fully self-contained and does not require downloading external images or font resources. All styles and icons are implemented inline via code.

Platinum(light) andGraphite(dark), and the accent color can be switched betweenClassic BlueandSystem Teal. - Full design token coverage: The plugin covers 103 design tokens required by the Web interface, ensuring no modern blue tints remain.
- Zero external resources: The Chicago font is inlined, the wallpaper is drawn with pure CSS, and the entire plugin file size is kept to 47KB, with no network requests needed to load resources.
- Classic controls and animations: Implements raised buttons, square scrollbars, progress bar animations, and hard shadow effects.
