Introduction¶
In developing applications with the DeepSeek Harness, maintaining a rigorous test-driven development (TDD) process and setting up quality gates often requires manual orchestration. KnowzCode introduces a set of built-in workflows and rules that integration a structured TDD development process directly into the DeepSeek Harness.
Plugin Purpose¶
KnowzCode is a DeepSeek Harness plugin developed by Knowz AI. It focuses on providing a structured TDD workflow and quality gates, supports local handoff and system prompt rules, and does not depend on the MCP protocol.
Core Capabilities¶
The plugin provides the following skills and rules:
- Skill list:
work,explore,fix,setup,status,regroup,continue,start-work,regroup-trigger. - Invocation: Unlike Cursor, the DeepSeek Harness does not include built-in slash command files, so the agent must be directly asked to run the skill by name.
- Rule integration: The plugin includes
rules/knowzcode.md, which is registered as part of the system prompt and provides TDD / quality gate guidance.
Installation and Enablement¶
Install the plugin with the following command:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:knowz-io/deepseek-knowzcode-plugin
This plugin itself does not require an API key. If you need the team memory feature, install the Knowz plugin separately:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:knowz-io/deepseek-knowz-plugin
Typical Usage¶
In the conversation, directly ask the agent to run the skill name. For example: “Please run the work skill.”
Notes¶
- Knowz vaults are a separate, optional installation and do not block this workflow.
- The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DeepSeek Harness process.
- Do not run
/knowz registeron an existing account. - Do not paste API keys into the chat.
- The official discovery channel is the
dsh-plugintopic on GitHub; there is no official DeepSeek app store.
Summary¶
KnowzCode turns TDD standards into executable workflows in the DeepSeek Harness, making it suitable for developers who need a rigorous development process. The plugin source code and directory are available through the links below.
