Introduction¶
The official Chinese interface of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) covers most of the text, but the slash command menu (such as /compact and /goal) and the plugin cards on the Settings page (such as session and sandbox-policy) remain in English. This creates a reading barrier for users unfamiliar with English naming. dsh-zh-more specifically addresses these two display issues and provides a configurable translation solution.
Core Features¶
Three Display Modes¶
Switch between them in Settings → Translation Settings; changes take effect immediately.
| Mode | Command Menu | Plugin List |
|---|---|---|
| Chinese only (default) | 压缩对话, with the description line shown in Chinese |
会话核心 + one-sentence purpose |
| Show both Chinese and English | 压缩对话 /compact |
定时器服务 + English package name |
| No translation | compact (as-is) |
timer (as-is, no description) |
Note: Takes effect only when the interface language is set to Chinese; automatically reverts when switched back to the English interface; does not affect any functionality; command names are only localized for display, while actual execution still uses English commands.
Plugin List Enhancements¶
Adds two new features at the top of the Settings → Plugins → Plugin List page:
1. Category Tab Bar
Filters plugins by purpose from a non-specialist user perspective:
- All: all plugins
- System: DSH runtime fundamentals (sessions, storage, Agent, tasks, networking, scheduling, etc.)
- UI: interface display and interaction (conversation, settings, sidebar, theme, language, etc.)
- Model: large model integration, default model, model selection
- Tools: tools used by Agent (files, commands, internet access, skills, subagents, workflows)
- Security: sandbox, approval, permissions, credentials
- Enhancements: Chinese enhancements, cost statistics, remote access, voice, etc.
2. Source Badges
Displays the source of the plugin in the top-right corner of the plugin card:
- Official (blue): DeepSeek Harness official components (
@deepseek-ai/*) - Custom (green): user-authored plugins
- Third-party (orange): plugins developed by community authors
Installation¶
dsh plugin --profile web add github:Como44/dsh-zh-more
After installation, restart dsh web, and perform a hard refresh in the browser (Ctrl+Shift+R) to apply the page changes.
Usage Steps¶
- Settings → Language → Chinese.
- Settings → Translation Settings → choose a display mode.
- Press
/in the input box to view the command menu. - Settings → Plugins → Plugin List to view the translation result.
How It Works¶
This plugin is a browser-side plugin (mounted via an empty host). It uses MutationObserver to rewrite the DOM under the Chinese interface:
- The command name text and description-line prefix in command menu rows.
- The title and purpose description line of plugin cards.
The original text is preserved in the element’s data-dsh-zh-more-orig attribute and fully restored when the interface is switched back to English or when the mode is changed. It makes no network requests and does not touch credentials or session data.
Notes¶
- Only supports DSH
0.1.0-rc.6Web profile. - Command names are only localized for display, while actual execution still uses English commands.
- After expanding a plugin card, the full English package name is still visible.
- You can customize the dictionary by editing the
COMMAND_NAMESandPLUGIN_INFOtables at the top oflib/client.js.
Ecosystem Background¶
The DSH philosophy is “everything is a plugin.” The community catalog is an independent site and has no official affiliation with DeepSeek / High-Flyer.
