DSH Web provides session-level interaction capabilities but lacks a persistent project concept. When developers collaborate or maintain complex tasks over the long term, they need to bind project instructions, file context, and a specific working directory together. The dsh-projects plugin introduces a Cowork/WorkBuddy-style project management mechanism, resolving the lack of structured project entries and folder memory in DSH Web.

dsh-projects is a memory-type plugin for DeepSeek Harness Web, designed to provide DSH Web with a project center similar to Cowork or WorkBuddy. It supports creating projects bound to real folders, managing project instructions, and maintaining consistency with CLAUDE.md through a two-way synchronization mechanism. The plugin is maintained by user alwaysmid-19990 and is released under the MIT license.

Installation and Enablement

The plugin is installed through DSH’s plugin manager. After installation, the DSH Web service must be restarted to load the sidebar entry.

dsh plugin --profile web add github:alwaysmid-19990/dsh-projects

Once installation is complete, no additional configuration is required; the plugin automatically registers itself using the bundled cordis.patch.yml.

Core Features

The plugin provides a complete project management workflow, primarily including the following features:

  1. Sidebar Entry: Adds a project entry to the DSH Web sidebar. If dsh-automation is installed, this entry appears below Automations; otherwise, it appears near task-board/SSH/skill-explorer.
  2. Project Card Grid: Displays cards for all created projects, including project name, description, update time, and folder identifier, with search support.
  3. Create Project: Supports defining a project name, setting project instructions (Prompt), and binding the project to an existing local folder.
  4. Project Details: On the project details page, you can edit instructions, browse files in the associated folder, manually pin key files, and modify the associated folder.
  5. CLAUDE.md Two-Way Sync: Supports exporting project instructions as a fenced section in CLAUDE.md, or loading an existing CLAUDE.md from the folder as project instructions.
  6. Data Persistence: Project data is stored locally in JSON format, making it easy to back up and perform version control.

Typical Usage

The following describes the typical steps for creating and managing projects using this plugin.

  1. Enter the Project Center: Click the “Projects” entry in the sidebar to open the project card grid.
  2. Create a Project: Click “+ New Project”, enter the project name and instructions, then click “Select Folder” to link an existing working directory.
  3. Manage a Project: Open a project card to enter the details page, where you can continue editing instructions, browsing the file list, or pinning key files via “Select File”.
  4. Memory Sync: When saving a project, you can check “Sync to CLAUDE.md” to write the instructions into the folder’s CLAUDE.md file; or click “Load as Project Description” to read the existing CLAUDE.md content from the folder into the project instructions. The sync feature is disabled by default and can be enabled on demand when saving.

Notes

  • Data Storage: Project data is stored in ~/.dsh/dsh-projects/projects.json.
  • Dependency Environment: The plugin requires a Node.js environment version >= 18.0.0.
  • Permissions and Security: The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. It is recommended to review the source code and license before installation.
  • Sync Mechanism: By default, editing instructions does not automatically modify CLAUDE.md; the file is written only when sync is manually enabled upon saving.

dsh-projects makes DSH Web better suited for handling long-term, multi-file development tasks by providing structured project management and memory synchronization capabilities. See the GitHub repository for related source code and documentation.
