Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a plugin architecture. In the web interface, developers often need to edit code outside the browser. Manual path configuration is inefficient. The following introduces a plugin that can automatically scan for local editors and open the workspace with one click.
Plugin Overview¶
This plugin is maintained by developer 904915452 and is licensed under the MIT License. It adds a dropdown to the session header to enable automatic detection of local editors and quick opening of the workspace, solving the pain point of switching from the web interface to a development environment.
Core Features¶
-
List Detected Editors
The dropdown displays editors actually detected on the local machine, with colored icons and type labels. -
Open Workspace with One Click
After selection, immediately opens the workspace associated with the current session using the selected editor. -
Path Display and Refresh
The dropdown header displays the workspace path to be opened and supports “Rescan” to refresh the list. -
Keyboard Navigation
Supports keyboard navigation (↑ / ↓ / Enter / Esc) and closes when clicking outside. -
Theme Following
Automatically follows DeepSeek Harness’s light and dark themes.
Installation and Activation¶
Use Git to clone the repository and install it.
git clone https://gitee.com/zqy-904915452/dsh-editor-launcher.git
cd dsh-editor-launcher
dsh plugin --profile web add "file:$(pwd)"
dsh plugin --profile web install
After installation is complete, refresh the page, enter any session, and you will see the “Open in Editor” button in the title bar action area.
Typical Usage¶
- Click the dropdown to list the editors actually detected on the local machine.
- Select one, and the current workspace will immediately open in that editor.
- The dropdown header displays the workspace path to be opened. If you need to update the editor list, click “Rescan”.
Notes¶
- Detection Scope: Detection is best-effort and only covers common installation locations for common editors.
- Refresh Mechanism: The plugin scans once when loaded; if editors are added or removed, click “Rescan” in the dropdown.
- Interface Limitation: This feature is only meaningful in the web interface; the service does not exist in Headless/TUI profiles.
