Introduction¶
The plugin ecosystem of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) currently lacks a design tool bridge layer. While there is Figma MCP, there is no plugin that can compile design data into animation assets. dsh-figma-to-lottie fills this gap. It extracts the SVG-to-Lottie compilation pipeline—path parsing, Bezier entry/exit tangent conversion, and keyframe easing—and turns it into two agent-callable tools.
Core Features¶
This plugin provides two main tools:
lottie_compile_shape: Parses an SVG pathdstring into Lottie shape values{ i, o, v, c }, including the correct Bezier tangents. Before compiling a full animation, you can inspect the conversion result of any SVG path.lottie_compile: Assembles a complete Lottie 5.7.4 JSON document from a compact layer specification: rectangles (with gradient fill), paths, images (base64 embedded), and text, with each layer supporting opacity/slide-up keyframe animations.
Installation¶
Install the plugin using the following command:
dsh plugin --profile myprofile add dsh-figma-to-lottie
Usage¶
Interact with the agent using natural language. For example:
“Compile a 3-second loading animation: a 345×414 canvas, a light gray background, 10 blue bars sliding up at x=215.5 with 0.48/0.24/0.4/1.4 easing, staggered by 100 ms for each bar. Write it to ./loading.lottie”
The agent calls lottie_compile, generates the corresponding Lottie JSON file, and the file can be used directly in iOS / Android / Web development.
Notes¶
- Zero build steps: pure ESM, the published package is the runtime code. No
preparescript and no build authorization are required. - Runtime permissions: The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process.
- License: MIT.
Conclusion¶
This plugin solves the pain point of generating Lottie animation assets in agent development, allowing animation to be generated through code without relying on external design tools. For more details, refer to: GitHub | Plugin Directory
