Introduction

The DeepSeek Harness (DSH) architecture already integrates LLMs, tool calling, and sub-agent mechanisms, so it theoretically has strong execution capabilities. However, when regular users face a blank chat box, they often do not know how to turn “what they want to do” into instructions that are “actually executed.”

Ming Capability Pack performs this layer of translation and adaptation. It does not reinvent the wheel or provide vague suggestions; it only accepts natural language intent, matches built-in solutions, assembles capabilities, and ultimately delivers real artifacts and evidence cards.

Core Features

  1. One-click invocation of native capabilities: Through the ming_auto tool, natural language goals are directly delegated to Harness native sub-agents for execution.
  2. Capability assembly closed loop: Includes the ming_install tool. When a missing capability is detected, it automatically searches, recommends, and installs, forming a “missing → install → verify” closed loop.
  3. History query: Includes the ming_history tool, which can read workspace evidence cards and summarize recent task records.
  4. Built-in solution packs: Includes multiple preset solutions (such as personal websites, organizing downloads, and report generation) and automatically matches trigger scenarios.
  5. Automatic assembly of missing capabilities: Supports automatically detecting and completing required plugins or tools during execution.
  6. Recursion protection mechanism: Uses isolation at the tool and prompt layers to prevent sub-agents from infinitely calling ming_auto.
  7. Artifact validation mechanism: After execution, file paths are checked for existence, and results are written to evidence cards.
  8. Runtime mode support: Supports CLI wrapper mode and Headless mode.

Installation and Activation

Before use, install DeepSeek Harness (Desktop edition or CLI edition) first, and make sure the environment has the dsh command or can locate dsh/lib/bin.js.

  1. Install the plugin
Add the plugin to the specified profile using the official install command:
dsh plugin --profile <profile名> add github:YuemingHub/Ming-Capability-Pack
  1. Enable it
After installation, Harness must be restarted for the ming_auto tool to take effect.

Typical Usage

After installation, you can use natural language directly in the Harness chat box or CLI.

  • Chat interaction:
“Count the total number of lines in all .md files in the current directory”
“Create an index.html on the Desktop that displays a simple welcome page”
    “Create a hello.html with content

    Hello Ming

    ”

  • CLI wrapper:

    ./bin/ming "创建一个 hello.html,内容为 <h1>Hello Ming</h1>"
  • Headless mode:
    dsh --profile <profile名> "请调用 ming_auto 工具:创建一个 hello.html,内容为 <h1>Hello Ming</h1>"

Applicable Scenarios and Notes

  • Target users: Users who want to describe tasks directly in natural language without worrying about underlying tool calls.
  • Prerequisites: Node.js >= 22.
  • Permissions and security: The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. Before installation, review the source code and license (MIT).
  • Execution mechanism:
    • Resource pre-check: Before startup, it checks whether local paths exist to avoid invalid execution.
    • Timeout protection: The default execution timeout is 15 minutes; on timeout, execution is aborted and the error type is recorded.
    • Validation mechanism: Output results are verified by artifactChecks to ensure the files truly exist.
    • Recursion protection: ming_auto is blocked in the sub-agent’s tool list to prevent infinite recursion.

Conclusion

Ming Capability Pack uses a thin adaptation layer to encapsulate complex agent invocation logic behind natural language interaction. Its core value is “actually getting the job done,” providing real files and evidence cards rather than vague suggestions.
