The core philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “everything is a plugin.” When developing agents, if you need to generate images frequently, repeatedly calling external APIs or switching windows can interrupt the workflow. dsh-plugin-quick-draw-tool provides a persistent drawing panel that performs text-to-image generation directly within the DSH interface using a local ComfyUI.

This plugin is maintained by user Yinbenfeng and aims to provide a lightweight, zero-configuration, dependency-free local drawing solution.

Plugin Scope

This is a persistent DSH drawing panel based on local ComfyUI. The plugin does not rely on complex third-party custom nodes. By deploying a fixed ComfyUI version with one click, it ensures workflow stability.

Core Features

  • Persistent entry: After DSH starts, a “Drawing” button remains in the bottom-right corner, without invoking it from the conversation.
  • Drawing controls: Supports two-segment prompts, width/height, steps, and random/specified seed settings.
  • User experience: Provides image preview and zoom-in viewing.
  • Workflow management: Prompt 2 can be saved as a persistent preset; images are saved with safe numbered names and are never overwritten.
  • Environment setup: One-click deployment of a fixed ComfyUI version, with zero third-party custom nodes in the workflow.

Installation and Deployment

1. Install the Plugin

Run the following command in the project directory to install:

npm install git+https://github.com/Yinbenfeng/dsh-plugin-quick-draw-Tool-.git

Add the package to the DSH Web Profile dependencies and bundle list:

{
  "dependencies": {
    "dsh-plugin-quick-draw-tool": "git+https://github.com/Yinbenfeng/dsh-plugin-quick-draw-Tool-.git"
  },
  "dsh": {
    "profile": {
      "bundles": [
        "@deepseek-ai/dsh-base",
        "@deepseek-ai/dsh-web-app",
        "dsh-plugin-quick-draw-tool"
      ]
    }
  }
}

2. Deploy ComfyUI

Run the deployment script in the project root directory:

powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File .\scripts\setup.ps1

The script clones and installs ComfyUI in the default directory and pins it to version v0.33.0.

3. Download Models

Model files are not distributed with the plugin. Download them yourself and place them in the specified directory. Refer to the following paths and license requirements:

File Full Placement Path Download Page License
krea2_turbo_mxfp8.safetensors %USERPROFILE%\.dsh\comfyui-drawing\ComfyUI\models\diffusion_models\krea2_turbo_mxfp8.safetensors Comfy-Org/Krea-2 Krea 2 Community License
qwen3vl_4b_fp8_scaled.safetensors %USERPROFILE%\.dsh\comfyui-drawing\ComfyUI\models\text_encoders\qwen3vl_4b_fp8_scaled.safetensors Comfy-Org/Qwen3-VL Apache-2.0
qwen_image_vae.safetensors %USERPROFILE%\.dsh\comfyui-drawing\ComfyUI\models\vae\qwen_image_vae.safetensors Comfy-Org/Qwen-Image_ComfyUI Apache-2.0

Note: Krea 2 Turbo is subject to the Krea 2 Community License, which includes commercial usage thresholds and content filtering requirements.

4. Start ComfyUI

powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File .\scripts\start-comfyui.ps1

ComfyUI listens on 127.0.0.1:8188 by default.

5. Restart DSH

After restarting DSH, you can see the “Drawing” entry in the bottom-right corner. The usage flow is: prompt → generate → preview → save.

Environment Variables

The plugin supports custom configuration through environment variables:

Variable Purpose Default Value
DSH_COMFYUI_ROOT ComfyUI installation directory %USERPROFILE%\.dsh\comfyui-drawing\ComfyUI
DSH_COMFYUI_URL ComfyUI service address http://127.0.0.1:8188
DSH_COMFYUI_WORKFLOW Absolute path to the API workflow workflows/t2i-v7-api.json inside the package
DSH_COMFYUI_PRESETS Prompt 2 preset storage file %USERPROFILE%\.dsh\comfyui-prompt2-presets.json

Notes and Licensing

  • The plugin’s original code is under the MIT License.
  • Third-party components are subject to their respective licenses: ComfyUI (GPL-3.0), Krea 2 Turbo (Krea 2 Community License), and Qwen model components (Apache-2.0).
  • PyTorch and GPU drivers must be installed by the user; the plugin does not include model weights.
  • After downloading the models, review the license terms, especially the commercial usage restrictions of Krea 2 Turbo.

Summary

dsh-plugin-quick-draw-tool addresses the need of DSH developers to generate images quickly locally. By using a fixed ComfyUI version and one-click deployment scripts, it lowers the barrier for environment setup. It is suitable for scenarios that require integrating image generation capabilities into agents.
