Introduction

The DeepSeek Harness (DSH) plugin ecosystem allows core capabilities to be extended through modular plugins. dsh-cc-studio is a tool focused on Character Card (CC) development, designed to address the problem of “having only an idea but a weak worldview.” It converts the capsule above the input box into a full-screen Fusion Workshop, and uses presets to let the LLM interact through 14 Tools, enabling an “ask first, then fill in” co-creation workflow.

Installation and Enabling

Use the official installation command:

dsh plugin --profile web add @xia-sc/dsh-cc-studio

After installation is complete, you must restart dsh web for the changes to take effect.

About the package name change
The package name has been changed from @dsh-plugins/dsh-cc-studio to @xia-sc/dsh-cc-studio. If you previously installed the old package name, uninstall it first and then install the new package name; otherwise, it may not load correctly.

Configuration and Data

The plugin’s data directories are located by default at <DSH_HOME>/cc-library/ (character cards) and <DSH_HOME>/cc-drafts/ (session drafts). DSH_HOME defaults to ~/.dsh. Starting from version 0.3.6, the plugin begins recognizing the DSH_HOME environment variable, but the legacy ~/.dsh location remains readable prior to 0.3.6.

CC Mode Preset Mechanism
The plugin ships CC presets bundled with the package, so manual file copying is not required. The way presets are loaded depends on the host DSH version:
* DSH >= 0.1.7-alpha.1: The plugin registers the preset through the combined declaration line in presets/cc.patch.yml, allowing it to be selected directly in conversation mode.
* DSH <= 0.1.6-alpha.2: At plugin startup, presets/cc is loaded into the <DSH_HOME>/.agent-presets/cc directory.

Usage Flow

  1. Find the capsule icon above the conversation input box and click it to enter the full-screen Fusion Workshop.
  2. Select the CC Mode preset.
  3. The LLM will ask questions through 14 Tools. Follow the prompts to refine the character card settings.
  4. After completing co-creation, click the export button and choose JSON / PNG / CHARX format to save.

Notes

  • Permissions: The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. You should review the source code and license before installation.
  • Session Protection: RPC interfaces and resource addresses are protected by session cookies.
  • Resource Authentication: Resource addresses themselves do not require authentication (e.g., /plugins/??@xia-sc/dsh-cc-studio/...), but accessing RPC requires a valid cookie.
  • Version Compatibility: If you use an older DSH version, ensure it meets the directory installation requirements for <= 0.1.6-alpha.2.
