DeepSeek Harness (DSH) allows developers to build AI agents that run locally. To interact with them through WeChat, you usually need to deploy a gateway or use a plugin. dsh-clawbot is a community-enhanced plugin that uses Tencent’s official ClawBot (iLink) protocol to connect WeChat directly to a local DSH process.

What It Is

The plugin is maintained by tangwenhao616-netizen and is released under the MIT license. It addresses limitations in earlier WeChat plugins related to concurrent processing and session management, turning WeChat from a simple communication tool into a command center for local agents.

Core Capabilities

  • Multi-Session Management: A WeChat user can have multiple independent sessions and use slash commands to create, switch, and delete them.
  • Slash Commands: Supports commands such as /new, /list, /use, /model, /rename, /del, /tag, and /help, so no Web UI is required for management.
  • Per-Session Model: Each session can configure its model independently and supports switching online during a conversation.
  • Concurrency Safety: Fixes the original single-threaded blocking issue and uses per-user queuing to ensure non-blocking message processing.
  • Rich Media Support: Supports text, voice (automatically transcribed to text), and images (with visual-model perception).
  • Active Push: Supports actively pushing messages to WeChat through HTTP interfaces and tool calls.
  • Secure Storage: Credential files are stored with 0600 permissions and written atomically.

Installation and Enablement

  1. Install the plugin

Run the following command in a terminal:

dsh plugin --profile web add github:tangwenhao616-netizen/dsh-clawbot
  1. Start the Web service

Start the DeepSeek Harness Web server:

    dsh web --port 3080
  1. Scan QR code to log in

Visit http://127.0.0.1:3080/weixin in a browser, click “Scan Code to Log In”, and scan the QR code with WeChat.

Usage Examples

  • Create and switch sessions
Send the following message in WeChat:
    /new work
The system will create and switch to a session named "work".
  • Chat in a specified session
Send the following message in WeChat:
    #work 帮我写周报
  • Switch model
Send the following message in the current session:
    /model 3
  • Active HTTP push
Actively send a message to a specified user through an HTTP interface:
    curl -X POST http://127.0.0.1:3080/weixin/send \
      -H 'content-type: application/json' \
      -d '{"to":"user@im.wechat","text":"hello"}'

Configuration and Notes

Configuration Items

You can override the default configuration via cordis.patch.yml:

- insert:
    - id: weixin
      name: dsh-clawbot
      config:
replyMode: last # full | last
        maxChunk: 1200
        sendIntervalMs: 2000

Security and Runtime Environment

  • Unauthenticated panel: The /weixin panel has no authentication mechanism. It is recommended to run dsh web only on trusted internal networks or locally.
  • WeChat version requirement: WeChat ≥ 8.0.70 is required, and the ClawBot plugin must be enabled in settings.
  • Dependencies: Image processing depends on a visual model. If no visual model is available, image content will be skipped to avoid polluting the conversation history.

Summary

dsh-clawbot provides a complete solution that lets locally running AI agents interact through WeChat with multi-session, concurrent, and secure communication. For developers who frequently use WeChat for agent debugging or office work, it is a practical tool.
