Introduction

The official repository of DeepSeek Harness (dsh) uses GitHub Discussions to manage community communication and does not have a separate Issues section. Community pulse topics (Ideas / Q&A / Show Your Plugins!, etc.) are all concentrated in these discussion boards. This article introduces dsh-discussions-radar, which lists, filters, and searches these official discussions in dsh or the terminal.

Core Positioning

This is an official GitHub Discussions radar plugin. It supports listing, filtering, and searching official discussion boards (categories include Ideas / Q&A / Show Your Plugins! / General / Announcements / Polls). The plugin provides a CLI tool and an agent-callable tool, discussions_radar. It has zero runtime dependencies, is read-only, and uses the public GitHub REST API.

Installation and Activation

To install the plugin, run the following command:

dsh plugin add dsh-discussions-radar

Please review the source code and license before installation. The plugin is maintained by zoahdev and is licensed under MIT.

CLI Usage

The plugin provides a standalone CLI tool that scans the deepseek-ai/deepseek-harness repository by default.

Basic usage:

npx dsh-discussions-radar

Common options include:

  • --category <name>: Filter by exact category (supported: Ideas / Q&A / Show Your Plugins! / General / Announcements / Polls).
  • --query <keyword>: Filter by title keyword (case-insensitive).
  • --limit <n>: Maximum number of results (default 10).
  • --since <ISO>: Show only discussions updated after the specified time.
  • --json: Output a machine-readable dsh-discussions-radar/v1 report.

Example: List 5 discussions in the Ideas category, sorted by update time.

npx dsh-discussions-radar --category Ideas --limit 5

Example: Search for discussions containing the keyword “plugin” and output JSON.

npx dsh-discussions-radar --query "plugin" --since 2026-08-01 --json

Agent Usage

Inside Harness, the plugin provides an agent-callable tool, discussions_radar.

You can directly instruct the Agent to run the following:

What new discussions have appeared in the official community recently? discussions_radar, sort by update time.

The tool returns a report in dsh-discussions-radar/v1 format, including the discussion number, title, category, comment count, created/updated time, and URL.

Notes

  • Zero runtime dependencies: The plugin does not depend on additional runtime environments.
  • Read-only: The plugin only reads data and does not modify anything.
  • No API Key: The plugin uses the public GitHub REST API and does not require an API key.
  • Ecosystem background: The DSH philosophy is “everything is a plugin”. The community directory (SkillHub) is an independent site and has no official affiliation with DeepSeek or High-Flyer.

Summary

dsh-discussions-radar is a tool for following official community activity in DeepSeek Harness. It complements dsh-github-release-radar: one focuses on version releases, while the other focuses on the community pulse. Through the CLI or Agent tool, developers can quickly retrieve discussion content by specific category or keyword.
