Overview

As a plugin-based platform, DeepSeek Harness agents typically respond only when users actively start a conversation. To achieve “scheduled execution” or “periodic checks,” existing solutions can be cumbersome. The dsh-cron plugin solves this problem by allowing tasks to be created through natural language in the conversation and automatically triggered at specified times. It injects the task prompt into the original session, the agent executes it and replies directly with the result, and it includes a built-in Web management panel.

Core Capabilities

  • Conversational creation: Users can describe tasks directly in the conversation (e.g., “Remind me to submit my weekly report at 9 a.m. every Monday”), and the agent automatically parses and creates the task.
  • Web management panel: Provides a task list and execution record drawer, supporting viewing, editing, pausing, deleting tasks, and viewing history.
  • Four-tier notifications: Includes unread badges, page toasts, sound prompts, and system notifications to ensure execution results are visible.
  • Tool integration: Provides model tools such as cron_list, cron_add, cron_update, cron_remove, and cron_history.
  • Scheduling rules: Supports at (one-time), every (interval), daily (fixed daily time), and cron (standard expression).
  • Persistence: Execution records are persisted and are not resent after restart.

Installation

Install using the official command.

dsh plugin --profile web add github:ZhuoSir/dsh-cron

Typical Usage

Users can enter the following directly in the conversation:
* “Remind me to submit my weekly report at 9 a.m. every Monday”
* “Check the build every thirty minutes”
* “Summarize today’s to-do items and give me a morning report”

Supported scheduling rules:
* at: ISO 8601 time.
* every: seconds, minimum 10.
* daily: HH:MM format.
* cron: 5-segment standard cron.

Notes

  • Resource consumption: Each trigger is a real model call and consumes tokens.
  • Permissions: Reads and writes only specific local files (cron-tasks.json, cron-history.jsonl); the HTTP API is limited to local sources.
  • Compatibility: DeepSeek Harness >= 0.1.0-rc.6, Node.js >= 22.

Summary

The dsh-cron plugin provides native scheduled task capabilities for DeepSeek Harness, making it suitable for scenarios that require automated periodic tasks. The plugin is maintained by ZhuoSir and licensed under MIT.
