DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a plugin-based architecture. During development or debugging, restarting the dsh web process is a common operation. Manually typing restart commands in the terminal is inefficient. The dsh-restart plugin provides a restart entry point in the DSH settings interface, making this process more intuitive.
Plugin Purpose¶
This is a DSH client plugin maintained by xingyingyuzhui. It allows users to restart the currently running dsh web instance through the settings interface or API.
Core Features¶
- Settings Page Restart: Confirm and execute the restart from the last item, Restart, in the left navigation of the settings page.
- Process Supervision Handling:
- If the process is managed by a supervisor (such as macOS LaunchAgent KeepAlive or systemd), the plugin only exits the current process, and the supervisor is responsible for starting a new one.
- If there is no supervisor, the plugin first starts a new process and then exits the current process.
- Force Mode: Supports forcing restart behavior through the environment variable
DSH_RESTART=exitorDSH_RESTART=respawn.
Installation and Enabling¶
The installation command is as follows:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:xingyingyuzhui/dsh-restart
After installation, you need to restart dsh web once. After the restart, you can find the corresponding entry in Settings → Restart.
Typical Usage¶
- UI Operation: Go to the settings page, find Restart, and click confirm.
- API Call: Do not use a GET request. Trigger the restart through the
POST /dsh-restart/nowendpoint. - Local Development: During development, it is recommended to use a local link path instead of a GitHub URL:
dsh plugin --profile web add link:/abs/path/to/dsh-restart
After modifying the source code, run npm test or npm run build.
Notes¶
- Do not manually modify the
client.jsfile generated by the plugin. - For local development, please add the plugin using
link:/abs/path/to/dsh-restartto ensure that code changes take effect immediately.
Summary¶
This plugin provides a convenient entry point for managing the Web host in a DSH environment. For more details, please refer to its GitHub repository or community directory.
