DeepSeek Harness (DSH) native archive operation completely hides sessions from the sidebar (including workspace groups, ungrouped, and search results), leaving them effectively in a “lost” state until they become visible again, which requires manually editing configuration files. dsh-session-manager solves this by providing a complete session management interface for the Web UI, making archiving reversible and offering an overview of all sessions on disk.
This is a Memory category plugin maintained by wuxiangru915. It adds session management features to the DSH Web UI.
Core Features¶
The plugin adds a session management layer to the DSH Web interface. Its main capabilities include:
- Restore archived sessions: Restores archived sessions back to their original workspace location.
- Delete with two-step confirmation: Deletion requires two confirmation clicks to prevent accidental deletion.
- Delete all: Clears all deletable sessions with one click (skipping sessions that are currently running or open).
- All-sessions overview: Lists all persisted sessions, grouped by workspace.
- Content preview: Click a session title to preview the conversation content inline on the settings page (first 100 messages).
- Disk footprint: Shows the session’s path on disk and its space usage.
- Zero core modification: A pure bundle plugin that does not modify official packages.
- Loopback-only API: API routes accept Loopback requests only.
Installation¶
Install it using the official plugin command:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:omdsh-dev/dsh-session-manager
After installation, restart the Web server and refresh the page.
Typical Usage¶
Open Settings -> Session manager:
- Archived tab: View all archived sessions. You can restore them in batches or individually (Restore), clear the archive, or delete sessions.
- All sessions tab: View all sessions, grouped by workspace. You can archive sessions, delete sessions, or perform the “Delete all” action here.
- Click any session title to preview its content below.
For local development, you can use:
dsh plugin --profile web add /path/to/dsh-session-manager
Use Cases and Notes¶
- The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process and involves filesystem operations. Ensure the source code is trustworthy.
- The API routes provided by the plugin (
/dsh-sm/*) allow Loopback access only, preventing cross-origin requests. - The plugin is open source under the MIT License.
Summary¶
This plugin solves the visibility problem caused by DSH’s native archiving mechanism. It provides visual session management, restore, and cleanup capabilities, and is suitable for developers who need to manage a large number of sessions frequently.
