In the DeepSeek Harness (DSH) Web profile, developers usually need to monitor token consumption and model usage. The existing UI may lack an intuitive view of peak/off-peak time-based billing and detailed historical analysis across sessions. The dsh-usage-dashboard plugin adds a peak/off-peak billing dock below the input box; when expanded, it provides a complete usage analytics dashboard.

Feature Description

The plugin is maintained by woosh2010 and is designed to address the lack of intuitive usage statistics, missing peak/off-peak billing dock, and limited cross-session historical management in the DSH Web profile.

Peak/Off-Peak Time-Based Billing

Supports Beijing time peak hours (weekdays 9:00–12:00 / 14:00–18:00) and off-peak hours (half price). Effective from 2026-08-23, weekends (Saturday and Sunday) are billed at off-peak rates all day, and historical bills are automatically recalculated. The dock displays the current period in real time, a progress bar, a countdown to the next price adjustment (weekends show a “Weekend Off-Peak” badge), as well as session cumulative / current turn cost and account balance (auto-refresh every 60 seconds).

History Persistence

Token / cost / model / peak-off-peak information for each step is automatically written to ~/.dsh/storages/usage-history.l. A soft limit of 40,000 records automatically trims older entries, and data persists across sessions and restarts.

Global Filters and Dashboard

The top of the panel provides global filters, including time range (today / 7 days / 30 days / 90 days / all), session scope (all sessions / current session), and model filter. All charts and stat cards update in real time.

Stat cards display: cost (with peak/off-peak breakdown), tokens (input/output), turns (peak/off-peak), cache hit rate, off-peak savings, and per-step average.

Analytics charts include: cost trend line chart, time-of-day distribution bar chart, token composition donut chart, model distribution bar chart, peak/off-peak comparison, and off-peak savings.

View by Date

Click any day on the cost trend chart to drill down into that day’s stat cards, model distribution, peak/off-peak comparison, token composition, recent records, plus an extra 24-hour time distribution and that day’s session rankings.

Recent Records

By default, displays all steps for the most recent 20 turns, grouped by turn. Turn titles include a model badge, peak/off-peak tag, and cost, and support expand/collapse. In the date view, displays all turns for that day (up to 60 turns); for cross-session cases, turn titles include a session label.

Close by Interaction

The panel is rendered via a React portal. Click anywhere outside the panel or press Esc to close it.

Installation and Enablement

Requires DeepSeek Harness 0.1.1-rc.1 web profile, and the system must have pnpm installed (dsh plugin forwards arguments to pnpm as-is).

Run the following command for one-click installation:

dsh plugin --profile web add https://github.com/woosh2010/dsh-usage-dashboard/releases/latest/download/deepseek-ai-dsh-client-ui-usage.tgz

After installation completes, restart dsh web and refresh the browser to use it.

Verification and Common Issues

After deployment, you can run the verification script:

node verify.mjs

Notes:
1. Balance display requires a DeepSeek API Key configured on the model settings page (if not configured, the balance shows “—”, while other features remain unaffected).
2. The history storage path is ~/.dsh/storages/usage-history.l.
3. Upgrading from an older manual installation (source code copied into web/packages/) may cause a declares no dsh.bundle error; clean up old remnants.
