Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) follows the “everything is a plugin” philosophy. Managing third-party plugins, including discovering, installing, updating, and checking version compatibility, typically requires manually checking GitHub repositories. dsh-plugin-marketplace is a dedicated plugin marketplace and third-party plugin management tool for DeepSeek Harness. It turns the GitHub dsh-plugin topic into a searchable, installable plugin marketplace and also provides Agent tools to support automated management.
Core Features¶
This plugin provides local enhancements over the original version, mainly addressing compatibility issues and performance bottlenecks during installation.
Marketplace Browsing and Installation¶
- Marketplace and search: Provides a plugin marketplace interface, supports keyword search (covering the entire GitHub topic), sorting by name, one-click installation, and update checking. Supports full paginated loading and is no longer limited to the hardcoded 50 entries.
- Installation strategy: Prioritizes npm package installation (fast and stable), then falls back to GitHub sources. Supports workspace and pnpm compatibility layers (automatically injects
CI=trueand fixes version drift). - Stability fixes: Fixes real-world installation session issues, including UTF-8 BOM handling, jsDelivr CDN fallback, and copying tarball files to a dedicated directory to prevent missing source files from causing lockfile errors.
Agent Tool Integration¶
Four tools are registered on the Host side, allowing the Agent to manage plugins autonomously:
market_search(q?, page?, perPage?): Searches the topic repository list.market_install(spec): Installs a plugin into thewebprofile, validates shell metacharacters, and prompts to restart after completion.market_installed(): Lists third-party plugins installed in thewebprofile (built-in plugins are not listed).market_update(name): Updates an installed plugin to the latest version.
Installation and Enablement¶
After installing this plugin, it will appear in DeepSeek Harness’s “Plugin Settings” and provide two tabs: “Plugin Marketplace” and “Installed”.
Installation command:
dsh plugin --profile web add -w github:Wine-Cupable/dsh-plugin-marketplace
After installation, Harness must be restarted for the changes to take effect.
Agent Usage Examples¶
The Agent can operate via natural language commands or direct tool invocation.
Install a plugin:
帮我安装这个插件 https://github.com/Wine-Cupable/dsh-plugin-marketplace
Manage plugins:
# 查看已安装列表
market_installed()
# 更新特定插件
market_update(plugin-name)
Notes¶
- Restart required: After installing, updating, or uninstalling a plugin, Harness must be restarted for the changes to take effect.
- pnpm self-healing: Before calling
dsh.plugin, the pnpm environment is automatically checked and repaired (if pnpm is missing from PATH, a shim is automatically generated). - Root-level plugin limitation: Installing root-level plugins using
link:is not supported. - Dependency retention: When disabling or enabling a plugin, its dependencies are retained; uninstalling a plugin removes its dependencies and automatically disconnects them from the bundle layer.
