Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (dsh) adopts an “everything is a plugin” architecture, allowing developers to extend adapter and runtime behavior through plugins. When developing locally or using the Paseo Agent platform, integrating the Agnes AI model gateway typically requires manually modifying adapter configuration and writing ACP (Agent Communication Protocol) bridge scripts.

The dsh-agnes-paseo plugin uses a bundle patch to declare an agnes provider route on the llm-pi-ai adapter and automatically wraps dsh --profile headless as an ACP agent, enabling one-command registration of a Paseo provider.

Installation

The installation command is as follows:

dsh plugin --profile headless add github:vvlife/dsh-agnes-paseo

After installation, use --dump-config to verify that the default model has been switched to agnes/agnes-2.5-flash:

dsh --profile headless --dump-config | grep -A3 agent-default-model

Initialization and Configuration

After installation, you need to run the initialization script in the dsh headless profile directory.

  1. Enter the profile directory:
    cd ~/.dsh/profiles/headless
  1. Execute the setup script and pass the Agnes API Key:
    pnpm exec dsh-agnes-paseo-setup --key sk-你的AgnesKey

You can also omit --key and directly use the environment variable AGNES_API_KEY or enter it at the interactive prompt. The Key must be created at platform.agnes-ai.com.

The initialization script will do the following:
1. Write the API Key to ~/.dsh/.credentials.yaml (permissions 0600).
2. Copy the zero-dependency ACP bridge dsh-acp-bridge.mjs to ~/.dsh/paseo-bridge/.
3. Modify ~/.paseo/config.json and add the DeepSeek Harness provider configuration:

  1. Restart the Paseo daemon and verify the provider status:
    paseo daemon restart
    paseo provider ls

At this point, `deepseek` should be displayed as available.

In Paseo, create a new agent and select DeepSeek Harness. The model dropdown list will then show agnes-2.5-flash, agnes-2.5-pro, and agnes-2.0-flash.

Available Models

  • agnes-2.5-flash: the default model, optimized for speed.
  • agnes-2.5-pro: stronger reasoning capability, but slower.
  • agnes-2.0-flash: the previous-generation fast model.

Notes

  1. Stateless operation: Each Paseo prompt round is an independent dsh --profile headless run, and the plugin does not retain conversation context.
  2. ACP bridge path detection: The ACP bridge probes /opt/homebrew/bin/dsh, /usr/local/bin/dsh, and the system PATH in order at startup. If you need to specify another path, set the environment variable DSH_BIN.
  3. Uninstallation: After uninstalling the plugin, dsh will restore the original default model configuration. The Paseo provider entry must be manually removed from ~/.paseo/config.json and the daemon restarted.
  4. Dependencies: The plugin itself has no runtime dependencies, but a Node.js environment is required (>= 18.17).

Summary

dsh-agnes-paseo eliminates the cumbersome steps for integrating Agnes AI through automated configuration. It converts dsh’s headless mode into an ACP agent recognized by Paseo, allowing developers to use Agnes reasoning models in Paseo without manually writing adapters or bridge scripts.
