Introduction¶
The core design philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “everything is a plugin.” When developing agents that need to handle geographic or country-level information, calling external APIs or maintaining local databases is usually required. If you only occasionally need to query basic data for a specific country, calling external interfaces can add unnecessary latency and cost. This article introduces a lightweight plugin: dsh-sierra-leone. It embeds basic data about Sierra Leone and can be accessed without internet connectivity.
What Is This?¶
This is a DSH plugin maintained by developer uckkk. Its purpose is clear: to provide basic geographic and economic data about Sierra Leone within the DSH environment. It is implemented using pure Node.js and does not rely on any external network requests, ensuring stable queries with low latency.
Core Features¶
This plugin registers a tool named country_info. Calling this tool returns data across the following four dimensions:
- Capital
- Population (in ten-thousands)
- Currency
- Continent
Technically, it is fully based on Node.js and contains no network request logic.
Installation and Activation¶
Run the following command in the DSH environment to install this plugin:
dsh plugin add github:uckkk/dsh-sierra-leone
Once installation is complete, the plugin will register the corresponding tool function in the current session.
Typical Usage¶
After installation, you can use the plugin directly by calling the registered tool in the session. This tool is intended as a shortcut for querying basic national information about Sierra Leone.
Use Cases and Notes¶
- Use Cases: Suitable as a quick data source when developing agents that involve the geographic, population, or economic background of Sierra Leone.
- Notes: This plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. Before installation, it is recommended to review the source code to ensure its behavior meets expectations. This plugin is released under the MIT License and can be freely used and modified.
Summary¶
dsh-sierra-leone provides a minimal way to obtain national data about Sierra Leone. By leveraging a pure Node.js implementation, it removes uncertainty introduced by network dependencies. For more details and source code, see the GitHub repository.
