Foreword¶
The core design philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “everything is a plugin.” When building conversation tools, generating short IDs is a common requirement. Common approaches may involve calling external APIs or introducing complex libraries, while dsh-shortid provides a lightweight local solution.
Plugin Introduction¶
dsh-shortid is a plugin maintained by uckkk, dedicated to generating short IDs locally. It encapsulates the generation capability as a tool that can be invoked directly by DSH conversations.
Installation and Dependencies¶
Before use, please ensure that the following dependencies are satisfied in your environment:
* @deepseek-ai/cordis (^4.0.1)
* @deepseek-ai/dsh-tools (>=0.1.0-rc.6)
The installation command is as follows:
dsh plugin add github:uckkk/dsh-shortid
Usage¶
After installation, the plugin registers a tool for use in conversations. You can generate a short ID by directly invoking the tool registered by the plugin in a conversation.
Technical Features¶
- Pure Node Implementation: The core logic runs in a Node environment.
- No Network Dependency: The generation process does not rely on external network requests and runs stably.
- Tool Registration: It is mounted to DSH conversations in the form of a plugin.
