Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) follows the philosophy that “everything is a plugin.” When building agents or debugging workflows, calling structured data from specific domains can increase unnecessary complexity if you must write standalone crawler scripts or maintain external databases. The following section introduces dsh-reptile-iguana, a lightweight local data-query tool.
Plugin Overview¶
This tool returns complete information about iguanas, as well as single-field queries. The plugin is maintained by uckkk and is released under the MIT License. It addresses the need to quickly obtain specific biological data locally, without relying on external network interfaces, making it easy to integrate into existing DSH workflows.
Core Features¶
This plugin provides the following two registered tools:
reptile_info: Returns complete information about iguanas. The data includes name, scientific name/taxonomy, category, habitat, body length, diet, lifespan, characteristics, conservation status, and fun facts.reptile_field: Queries a single iguana field by field name. This feature can be used for data retrieval in workflows and supports precisely fetching information for a specific dimension.
Installation and Enablement¶
Run the following command in your terminal to install the plugin:
dsh plugin add github:uckkk/dsh-reptile-iguana
After installation, the plugin registers the corresponding tools in the current session and can be used immediately without restarting the process.
Typical Usage¶
After a successful installation, you can directly call the tools registered by the plugin within DSH conversations or execution flows. For example, request detailed iguana information or data for a specific field in an instruction.
Use Cases and Caveats¶
- Use Cases: Suitable for scenarios that require fixed biological data, building agents with specific knowledge bases, or conducting localized data testing.
- Caveat: This plugin is implemented purely in Node.js and has no network dependencies. At runtime, it uses the permissions of the current DSH process. It is recommended to review the source code and license before installation.
Conclusion¶
This tool simplifies knowledge retrieval through local data queries. For more details, visit the GitHub repository.
