Introduction¶
In agent development, you often need to modify JSON data structures based on business logic. Using network requests directly for Patch operations increases latency and introduces unnecessary dependencies. DeepSeek Harness (DSH) provides a plugin mechanism that allows code to be executed locally. The dsh--patch plugin is designed for exactly this purpose; it uses a pure Node.js implementation to handle JSON Patch (RFC 6902).
Plugin Overview¶
This is a local tool plugin with a pure Node implementation, no network dependencies, and no external services, maintained by istone. It mainly addresses the problem of standardized create, read, update, and delete operations on JSON document structures locally by agents.
Core Features¶
The plugin provides the following capabilities:
1. Local Execution: Pure Node.js code that does not request external networks or services.
2. Standard Support: Implements the RFC 6902 (JSON Patch) standard.
3. Tool Invocation: Provides registered tools for direct invocation in sessions.
Installation and Activation¶
Install the plugin:
dsh plugin add dsh--patch
After installation, you need to add the plugin name to the dsh.profile.bundles field in the package.json file of the current profile to activate the plugin.
Usage¶
After installing and activating the plugin, no additional configuration is required. You can simply invoke the tools registered by the plugin directly in a session.
Notes¶
Because the plugin runs third-party code on your local machine, please be sure to review the source code before installation to ensure its security.
