Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a plugin-based architecture, allowing features to be extended on the browser side. In model inference development, developers need to monitor in real time the remaining quota or subscription balance across different providers (such as MiniMax, DeepSeek, and Zhipu). If they have to rely on a desktop application for checking, it interrupts their workflow. dsh-musage is designed to resolve this fragmentation by directly embedding the core monitoring capabilities into DSH’s Web interface.

What Is This

dsh-musage is the DSH version of the Musage plugin, maintained by Thedeergod666. It does not provide a desktop overlay window; instead, it reproduces the core logic of Musage and displays in real time the usage balance of five mainstream AI subscription providers in the DSH composer toolbar, updating automatically when the model changes.

Core Features

  1. Real-time monitoring and automatic switching: The toolbar automatically switches to display the usage information corresponding to the currently selected model.
  2. Credential reuse: It directly reads API Keys already configured in DSH model settings, without requiring repeated entry.
  3. Smart display formats: Different providers display different formats. For example, MiniMax, Kimi, and Zhipu show the dual-window subscription format "5h X% \| 7d Y%"; DeepSeek and OpenRouter show balances in "¥X.XX" or "$X.XX".
  4. Zero intrusion and silent failure: The plugin is registered in the conversation.input.right slot and does not block the input area. If data retrieval fails, it only displays "Provider ⚠" and supports hovering to view the specific error without spamming the screen.

Supported Providers

Currently, the plugin supports only five providers:
* MiniMax (minimax / minimax-cn / minimax-en)
* DeepSeek (deepseek / deepseek-official)
* Kimi (kimi / kimi-coding)
* OpenRouter
* Zhipu GLM (zhipu / zai-coding-cn)

Installation and Enablement

Run the following command in the terminal to install it:

dsh plugin --profile web add github:Thedeergod666/dsh-musage

After installation, you need to restart the dsh web service. You can also install or update it with one click via Settings → Plugin Market. After enabling it, switch to the corresponding model, and the usage display will appear in the toolbar.

Prerequisites

  • DSH must include the three built-in Services: subprocess, credentials, and timer (provided by DSH, no extra installation required).
  • You must pre-configure the API Key for the corresponding provider in DSH’s Model Settings.

Use Cases and Notes

  • Use case: Developers using DSH for code or content development who need to confirm the current model’s provider quota without switching applications.
  • Limitations: It currently supports only five providers. To cover 14 providers and desktop floating window/tray features, please use Musage Desktop.
  • Security note: The plugin depends on DSH’s credential service. Please ensure the installation source is trustworthy.

Summary

By reusing DSH’s API Keys and Services, dsh-musage enables seamless viewing of usage balances within the Web interface, reducing disruption caused by switching tools. For the full feature list, refer to the GitHub repository.
