During the development and debugging of DeepSeek Harness (DSH), environment state (disk, memory, network, and plugin versions) directly affects agent stability. When models exhibit abnormal behavior, developers often need to investigate system resource consumption or cache bloat issues. dsh-healthcheck is designed to address this pain point by providing a standardized environment health check process.
This is a plugin maintained by taxueseek and belongs to the “Memory” category. It is a read-only tool that does not perform any cleanup or deletion operations. It only collects current environment metrics, compares them with historical baselines, and generates severity-graded CRITICAL / WARNING / INFO reports.
Core Capabilities¶
The plugin mainly completes the following health check tasks:
- System resource check: Checks disk usage (APFS data volume
/System/Volumes/Data), memory pressure, and network latency (ping 8.8.8.8). - Environment detail check: Checks the expansion of the
~/.dshdirectory (includingclipboardimages, sessions, profiles, andstoragessubdirectories), toolchain availability, and plugin versions. - Trend comparison: Records historical data, compares disk growth trends, and establishes a baseline at the first health check.
Installation and Enablement¶
Install the plugin through the official directory:
dsh plugin --profile web add taxueseek/dsh-healthcheck
After installation, restart the DSH Web Profile to activate the plugin.
Configuration¶
The plugin supports the following configuration options, which can be modified in the config field of the tool definition:
- id: healthcheck-toolkit
name: 'dsh-healthcheck'
config:
Usage Examples¶
In a conversation, users can send commands to trigger a health check:
- User: “Run a health check”
- User: “Check the disk”
- User: “Is there a problem with the environment”
The model then calls the health_check interface and returns a severity-graded report. Example output:
# 环境体检报告
总体: HEALTHY | CRITICAL 0 / WARNING 0 / INFO 4
- [INFO] 磁盘使用率 62.5%,可用 285.3 GB
- [INFO] 内存压力 34.2%
- [INFO] 网络延迟 18 ms
~/.dsh 数据目录:
1.2 GB ~/.dsh/sessions
插件版本:
dsh-context: 0.5.0 → 0.7.3(可升级)
Design and Data¶
- Read-only design: The plugin only performs health checks and generates reports; it never automatically deletes anything. Cleanup actions must be executed only after user confirmation.
- Data storage: Historical baseline data is stored in
~/.dsh/health/history.l. Each health check appends one record.
