DeepSeek Harness (DSH) adopts a pluggable architecture that allows users to extend functionality. The default interface theme usually offers only limited customization. For developers or users who need to customize the appearance of different main interface regions (sidebar, chat area, and dialog), STA-running provides a lightweight solution.

Plugin Overview

dsh-ui-tint is a UI tinting plugin designed for DeepSeek Harness. It does not change application logic; it only adjusts interface visuals through CSS or style injection. The plugin is compatible with the desktop version (Electron) and the Web GUI, and supports independent tinting for three regions, preset schemes, color depth adjustment, and automatic light/dark theme adaptation.

Installation and Activation

The plugin is distributed as a DSH bundle and must be installed into the currently used profile (default for the desktop version is web).

After installation, the DSH process needs to be restarted once for the plugin set changes to take effect.

Usage Steps

  1. Open Settings → General and find the “Custom Theme” row.
  2. Turn on the “Enable Theme Plugin” switch; the tinting panel expands.
  3. Select a preset (such as “Anime Pink”) to restyle the overall interface, or adjust each region’s color picker, opacity, brightness, and color depth sliders individually.
  4. Switch between DSH light and dark themes to observe the automatic adaptation of region colors.
  5. If you want to reset, click the “Restore Defaults” button.
