Preface¶
In the DeepSeek Harness Web UI, turning conversation content into structured requirement lists and managing subtasks usually requires additional tools. dsh-req-workbench is a plugin designed to address this issue. It is maintained by Songran241, belongs to the workflow category, and allows users to directly parse, manage, and track requirements within the DSH interface.
Core Features¶
The plugin provides the following capabilities:
- Requirement and subtask management: Supports creating, editing, and deleting requirements. Subtasks support checking off completion, editing, deleting, and setting due times.
- Three import sources:
- Conversation turns: Below each assistant message, there is an “Extract Requirements” button that can parse the content of that turn into a requirement list.
- Pasted text / reading workspace files: Supports Markdown headings and list formats, with preview, checking, and editing available before import.
- Due-time reminders: The system polls every minute and displays reminders in the sidebar and floating layer for subtasks that are due or about to timeout within 24 hours.
Installation and Enablement¶
Prerequisite: pnpm must be installed (corepack pnpm can be used).
Run the official installation command:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:Songran241/dsh-req-workbench
Manual installation (optional):
1. Edit ~/.dsh/profiles/web/package.json and add the dependency.
2. Append this package in dsh.profile.bundles.
3. Run cd ~/.dsh/profiles/web and execute corepack pnpm install.
After installation is complete, restart dsh web. A “Requirement Management” entry will appear at the bottom of the sidebar.
Typical Usage¶
- Extract from conversation: In the DSH conversation interface, below each assistant message, click the “Extract Requirements” button to parse the current context into requirements.
- Import from documents: In the “Requirement Management” interface, import requirements by pasting text or reading a local file. The plugin automatically recognizes Markdown headings and lists, allowing users to filter and modify content before import.
Notes¶
- Architecture requirement: The plugin’s host side must be an ESM build (
"type": "module"). - Compatibility risk: If the host is CommonJS (CJS) and uses
require()to load ESM dependencies (such asdsh-typert-protocol) under a Node 24 environment, it may trigger anERR_INTERNAL_ASSERTIONrace-condition crash.
Conclusion¶
By integrating requirement management into the DeepSeek Harness Web UI, this plugin lowers the barrier from conversation to task implementation. For more details and source code, please refer to:
