Introduction¶
In DeepSeek Harness (DSH), using @ to reference another session is feasible, but when switching between implementation and review conversations, looking up a specific session by title or ID is neither intuitive nor convenient. The dsh-session-reference-copy plugin adds a copy button to the header of the current session and puts a structured canonical mention onto the clipboard.
What Is It¶
This is a small DSH Web client plugin maintained by shaomingbo, used to copy the canonical cross-session reference of the current session. It solves the copying issue for cross-session references.
Core Features¶
- Readable Label: Uses the current session’s display title as the readable label. If no summary exists, it falls back to the Session ID.
- Canonical Encoding: Encodes the ID using Harness’s canonical
dsh-session:JSON/UTF-8/base64url format. - Safe Escaping: Escapes
]and backslashes in the label. - Feedback Mechanism: After successfully writing to the clipboard, displays a checkmark icon for 1 second and reports failures through the current conversation notification interface.
Installation and Activation¶
Prefer the command that installs the pinned release tag. This command edits dependencies and bundles in the target configuration file, then runs installation; it does not stop DSH.
npx --yes github:shaomingbo/dsh-session-reference-copy#v0.1.1
After installing or uninstalling, you need to restart dsh web and hard refresh the browser page.
Management Commands¶
Check installation status:
npx --yes github:shaomingbo/dsh-session-reference-copy#v0.1.1 status
Uninstall the plugin (idempotent operation; can be safely run repeatedly):
npx --yes github:shaomingbo/dsh-session-reference-copy#v0.1.1 uninstall
Usage¶
- In the current session, click the copy button that appears in the header.
- Paste the copied text into another session’s editor and send it.
- DSH parses the text, captures a snapshot of the source session, and associates it as a reference to the target message.
Caveats¶
- Display Form: The pasted mention may remain plain text in the editor instead of a visual chip. This does not affect the reference semantics after submission.
- Snapshot Mechanism: A reference is a snapshot captured when the target message enters the model step, not a live link to future changes in the source session.
- No Additional Behavior: The plugin does not add Host RPC, persistence, or model prompt behavior.
Ecosystem Context¶
The DeepSeek Harness philosophy is “everything is a plugin.” This plugin can be looked up in the community catalog: https://www.skillhub.cn/plugins/shaomingbo/dsh-session-reference-copy
