Introduction¶
In agent development and DeepSeek Harness (DSH) usage scenarios, design document output often lacks a unified format specification. Agents may generate loose Markdown, making subsequent parsing, review, or automation tools difficult to handle. To solve this problem, we need a mechanism that combines structured data and explanatory text from design documents into a standardized DESIGN.md format.
Plugin Purpose¶
dsh-designmd is a DSH skill maintained by satan9394. It defines a design system format standard based on DESIGN.md. The skill does not directly generate design content; instead, it defines a set of specifications to ensure that output documents can be correctly processed by downstream lint, diff, and export toolchains.
Core Capabilities¶
The plugin defines the following core mechanisms:
- YAML tokens: Defines key properties in a design (such as component names and property values) as structured YAML tokens.
- Markdown rationale: Combines Markdown in the document to explain the rationale and context behind the design.
- Token references: Establishes references to pre-defined YAML tokens within the document, linking structured data with narrative text.
- Lint/Diff/Export toolchain: Provides a toolchain for validating document format, comparing differences, and exporting standardized formats.
- WCAG AA contrast: Integrates accessibility standards to check whether colors or contrast in design documents meet WCAG AA levels.
Installation and Activation¶
There is currently no official installation command provided.
Usage Recommendations¶
- Applicable scenarios: Suitable for development teams and agent developers who need to establish strict design document standards or automate design document processing, such as export and review.
- Permissions and security: The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. Before enabling it, be sure to inspect its GitHub source code to confirm that its behavior meets your security expectations.
Summary¶
dsh-designmd provides a standardized solution for design document output in the DSH ecosystem. By introducing YAML tokens and the accompanying toolchain, it helps developers extract structured information from loose Markdown and ensures the maintainability and consistency of the documents.
