Introduction¶
The Web interface of DeepSeek Harness provides basic development and debugging capabilities, with a relatively generic default style. For a more immersive experience, community developers have provided a visual refactoring solution. dsh-theme-rhine-lab is a plugin that refactors the Harness interface into the style of Arknights’ Rhine Lab (Originium Laboratory), presenting the interface as an archive terminal system rather than a simple decorative overlay.
Plugin Positioning¶
The plugin is maintained by ReLuckyLucy and is an open-source fan-made skin (MIT license). Using CSS and DOM manipulation, it implements a complete visual system on the Web surface of DeepSeek Harness 0.1.0-rc.5. Its core design does not change Harness’ underlying logic or workflow; it only overrides and refactors the visual layer.
Core Features¶
The plugin provides the following core features:
- Archive Terminal Visual System: The interface is designed as a research archive terminal.
- Light Mode: Uses warm paper textures, ink tones, and squared file edges, paired with Research Orange as the authorization accent color.
- Dark Mode: Based on charcoal surfaces, with cyan for real-time data and red for failure states.
- Restrained Institutional HUD Branding: Branding is limited to non-interactive archive labels and the Rhine Lab logo, without interfering with normal operation flows.
- Accessibility: Respects the system
prefers-reduced-motionsetting and reduces unnecessary decorations and whitespace on narrow screens. - Reversible Deep Styling: Supports toggling the theme through existing settings without affecting saved preferences.
Installation and Activation¶
The plugin can be installed from the registry or built locally from source. After installation, the Web service must be restarted for changes to take effect.
- Install from the registry
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-theme-rhine-lab
- Install from a local Tgz
pnpm pack
dsh plugin --profile web add ./dsh-theme-rhine-lab-0.2.1.tgz
- Build and install from source
git clone https://github.com/ReLuckyLucy/dsh_Rhine_Lab_theme.git
cd dsh_Rhine_Lab_theme
pnpm install
pnpm build
dsh plugin --profile web add .
- Activate the theme
After installing the plugin bundle, refresh the browser. In the interface, find Settings → General and use the toggle there to enable or disable the theme.
Technical Details¶
- Configuration Activation: The plugin is mounted into the Harness system through
cordis.patch.yml. - Settings Management:
src/index.tsregisters a persistentui-theme-rhine-lab.enabledsetting. - Style Injection:
src/client/index.tsmaps the setting to CSS variables and override styles, generating the archive terminal style. - Build Artifacts: To simplify installation, the source package includes a precompiled
lib/directory. Users can use it directly whether downloading from the registry or packaging a Tgz.
Notes¶
- Version Compatibility: This plugin is designed specifically for the Web surface of DeepSeek Harness 0.1.0-rc.5. If the host environment (Harness) omits certain data-attribute anchors, the styles will not be applied, but Harness’ controls, layout, and settings functionality remain unaffected.
- Settings Compatibility: The plugin does not introduce a new settings namespace and continues to use the original Settings → General toggle as the control point.
- Content Statement: The plugin does not include media resources from any local reference site; it contains only source code, build output, documentation, and screenshots.
- Copyright Notice: This is a fan-made skin. Arknights and Rhine Lab belong to Hypergryph / Yostar.
