Introduction

In using DeepSeek Harness (DSH), a complex Session often contains multiple nested sub-agent trees along with related images and tool call records. Copying chat logs or taking screenshots cannot preserve this structured workflow. The dsh-session-share plugin solves this problem by allowing the complete Session tree to be exported as a local offline capsule and transferred between different Harness instances.

Installation and Activation

Both the sender’s and receiver’s Harness instances need to install this plugin.

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-session-share

Core Features

The plugin mainly provides the following capabilities:
* Offline capsule export: Exports the current Session, the complete sub-agent tree, and associated images to a local .zip file.
* Offline import: Imports a received capsule file using the /import-session command.
* Independence: Importing creates a brand-new local Session tree and a new ID, and does not reuse the original ID.
* Local transfer: Transfer is fully offline, and the plugin does not automatically upload Session content to servers.

Typical Usage: Exporting a Session

  1. Open the Session that needs to be shared.
  2. Select Share in the Session header, or run /share-session in the input box.
  3. In the dialog that appears, select Download Capsule and save the generated .zip file.
  4. Send the ZIP file to the receiver through a secure local transfer method, such as a chat application or file transfer.

Typical Usage: Importing a Session

  1. The receiver runs the /import-session command in Harness (the current Harness sidebar does not directly expose an “Import Session” entry point).
  2. Select a local workspace as the import target.
  3. Drag the capsule ZIP file into the import dialog, or select the file from the device.
  4. After a successful import, the browser refreshes and opens the imported root Session.

Behavior and Privacy

  • ID management: Each import creates a brand-new local Session tree and a new ID, and importing the same capsule multiple times produces independent copies.
  • Security: The capsule is a local file, does not support online sharing links, and the v1 version does not provide encryption, data masking, access control, or online revocation.
  • Content scope: The capsule contains prompts, model responses, tool inputs and outputs, workspace paths, and images. The receiver should ensure the capsule is sent only to trusted recipients and should check whether it contains sensitive information before importing.

Applicable Scenarios and Notes

This plugin is suitable for scenarios that require sharing complex workflows or multi-agent collaboration between DeepSeek Harness instances. Because the v1 version lacks secure encryption mechanisms, it is recommended to use it only in controlled, trusted environments and to ensure the security of the transfer channel.

Conclusion

dsh-session-share provides DSH users with a lightweight offline Session sharing solution, suitable for collaboration and knowledge accumulation in local or private network environments.
