Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a plugin-based architecture to extend functionality. When managing multiple workspaces in the Web interface, the session list in the main sidebar can easily become cluttered. The dsh-workspace-dock plugin renders a dock bar on the left side of the sidebar to visualize and filter workspaces. It is maintained by qschen86, mounted to the official sidebar.rail slot, implemented through service injection, and does not modify any built-in files.
Core Features¶
- Session Filtering: Clicking an icon in the dock bar filters the session list in the main sidebar to show sessions under that workspace.
- Workspace Menu: Clicking the already selected icon again (or right-clicking it) opens the menu. The menu includes the folder path, copy path, rename, change icon, and archive options.
- Status Badges:
- Narrow Bar Mode: Displays a number badge (running sessions) or a dot badge (sessions requiring attention).
- Expanded Mode: Displays status capsules.
- Badge statistics are based on session ownership (host canonical-cwd index) and are fully consistent with the sidebar list.
- Resizable Width: It can be collapsed into a narrow bar (52px) or expanded into a wide bar (200px, displaying names). Double-clicking blank areas of the rail also toggles the expanded/collapsed state.
- Custom Configuration: Supports custom icon colors and glyphs for each workspace. Icon settings are persisted locally in the browser.
- Home Entry: The top logo provides a home entry point and a menu. The menu includes the
dshinstallation directory, copy path, and open folder actions.
Installation and Enabling¶
Install the plugin using the official CLI:
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-workspace-dock
After installation, run the following command to verify the configuration:
dsh --profile web --dump-config
After installation is complete, restart dsh web (to apply host configuration) and refresh the page (to apply client configuration).
Usage¶
- Toggle State: Double-click blank areas of the rail to switch between narrow bar and wide bar.
- Open Menu: Right-click an icon, or click the already selected icon again, to open the workspace menu.
- Modify Settings: In the menu, select “Change icon” or “Rename” to customize the workspace’s visual presentation and name. Changes are synchronized to the main sidebar and other interfaces.
Notes and Compatibility¶
- Version Requirement: Verified compatibility with
dsh 0.1.0-rc.6. - Implementation Mechanism: Implemented using a pure slot and service injection, with no changes to built-in files.
- Data Storage: Icon settings are stored locally in the browser.
Conclusion¶
By providing a visual workspace dock bar on the left side of the sidebar, this plugin enhances the ability of the DSH Web interface to manage sessions. It requires no modification of core files and supports highly custom configuration.
