Introduction

The core philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “everything is a plugin.” When developers or users need to manage multiple tools, monitor resource usage, or connect to external services (such as WeChat), scattering these capabilities across separate configuration files or standalone plugins can increase management complexity. dsh-tools is a resident web plugin designed to integrate session management, plugin toggling, usage statistics, and WeChat integration into a unified personal toolbox. Through the “dsh toolbox” entry on the Settings page, users can centrally manage these features.

Session and Plugin Management

The plugin provides full session management capabilities, including viewing archived sessions and deleting conversations individually or in bulk. The list displays the disk space occupied by each session and workspace. To improve loading speed, the session list first returns a lightweight view and then completes the data in the background, while directory sizes are cached on disk. On the session deletion page, clicking a workspace path directly opens the corresponding folder.

The plugin also includes a plugin marketplace. Users can view and enable or disable installed plugins, and inspect, update, or uninstall them. Update checking supports the npm registry and GitHub (via the Releases/tags API). Clicking a plugin name opens its GitHub page. In addition, the plugin provides a “plugin category view.” On the Settings → Plugins tab, category filtering is added, allowing users to browse official, installed, and local categories.

System and Utility Tools

System-level tools are located at the top of the feature toggles tab and include three features that are forcibly enabled. The task completion notification appears as a system notification in the bottom-right corner of the Windows desktop (topmost) when the current conversation task is completed and the web page is not focused; clicking it returns to the session. The DeepSeek Harness version check compares the current version with the latest GitHub Release and automatically performs the check only when dsh web is opened for the first time after each start. The one-click dsh web restart feature is intended for development and testing; after restarting, it automatically opens a new window and closes the old page.

Application Usage Statistics

The usage statistics feature provides multidimensional data analysis. Users can filter by time range (this year, this month, last 7 days, last 3 days, or custom) and by model, aggregating token consumption, cache hits, duration, and conversation steps for each session. Trend charts are based on actual session logs and calculated by calendar day (with disk caching and incremental scanning); hovering over a chart reveals specific data. The session usage list displays tokens, cache hit rate, and estimated cost, with configurable pricing. The cost card calculates using off-peak prices by default and provides one-click switching between peak and off-peak pricing.

WeChat Integration

WeChat integration is disabled by default. Once enabled, a “WeChat Integration” tab appears in the “dsh toolbox.” This feature is based on Tencent’s openclaw-weixin / iLink protocol, supports binding a personal WeChat account via QR code scanning, and enables text chat through the DSH Agent. It supports whitelist filtering and two modes: room (all users share a single session) or per-user (each user has an independent session). Only one polling gateway can run for the same WeChat account at any given time.

For media processing, WeChat images, videos, and files are automatically downloaded to the ~/.openclaw/weixin-dsh/media/ directory, and the Agent can send them by using path markers in responses. Automatic speech recognition (ASR) and image understanding (Vision) require an OpenAI-compatible API, while image generation (Image) requires an image generation API. All AI credentials are read from environment variables or the ~/.openclaw/weixin-dsh/.env file, with file permissions set to 0600.

Installation and Enablement

To install this plugin, run the following command. This command automatically installs dependencies and writes the activation layer.

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-tools

After installation, you must restart dsh web. Once restarted, you can find the feature entries under Settings → “dsh toolbox.” For the WeChat integration feature, configure environment variables or create a .env file inside the tab before enabling it.

Notes

  1. Maintenance Status: This plugin is created entirely by AI, is not maintained by humans, and may not receive continuous updates. Please use it with caution.
  2. Default Settings: WeChat integration is disabled by default and must be manually enabled with environment variables configured.
  3. Permissions and Security: The plugin runs with the permissions of the current dsh process. It is recommended to review the source code and license (MIT) before installation. WeChat credentials and AI API keys are stored in local files, and sensitive information in logs is masked.
