Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) supports feature extension through a plugin mechanism. When developing or debugging multi-agent applications, developers typically need a visual panel to view Agent runtime status in real time. The dsh-agentmonitor plugin addresses this need. It embeds a self-contained monitoring console in the DSH sidebar to provide multi-agent monitoring capabilities.
Plugin Overview¶
This is a multi-agent monitoring panel plugin maintained by user Qianrushixiaobai and licensed under the MIT License. It injects routes into DSH’s Web server and provides a sidebar entry on the client to load and display the monitoring dashboard.
Core Features¶
- Dual-half architecture: The Host half handles injecting the DSH Web server and registering the
/agentmonitorroute (supporting both exact and prefix matching); the Client half provides the sidebar entry and loads the panel in the main area through an iframe. - Self-hosted static dashboard: The plugin ships with a static panel (located in the
dashboard/directory) that works out of the box without additional build steps. - Zero external dependencies: Apart from the DSH built-in environment and Peer Dependencies, it does not rely on any third-party libraries.
- No absolute paths: Configuration items do not contain hardcoded machine absolute paths, making deployment easier across different environments.
Installation and Activation¶
The plugin must be installed under a specific DSH profile and requires the DSH Web server to be running.
dsh plugin --profile <name> add dsh-agentmonitor
After running the above command, restart DSH. A “Monitoring Console” entry will appear in the sidebar.
Typical Usage: Connecting Custom Data¶
By default, the panel loads the static sample data shipped with the package. To connect your own real-time monitoring data, configure the following:
- Data production: Have the data producer output a
dashboard-data.jsfile periodically (every N seconds). This file must define the variablewindow.AM_DATAin the global scope. - Configure the directory: In the profile’s
cordis.patch.yml, setdataDirto point to the directory containingdashboard-data.js.
Example configuration:
- id: agentmonitor
config:
dataDir: C:\path\to\your\dashboard-output
After configuration, the panel automatically fetches the dashboard-data.js file every 3 seconds to update.
Use Cases and Considerations¶
- Environment dependency: The DSH Web server is required.
- Installation method: It must be installed using the
dsh plugin --profile <name> addcommand. Direct installation by pulling from GitHub is not supported. - Dependency check: Ensure the Peer Dependencies are installed in the environment, including
@deepseek-ai/dsh-client-runtime,@deepseek-ai/dsh-client-connection,@deepseek-ai/dsh-client-ui-settings, andreact. - Security recommendation: Because the plugin injects into the Web server and involves sidebar rendering, review the source code and license before installation.
Summary¶
dsh-agentmonitor provides DSH users with a lightweight, zero-external-dependency multi-agent monitoring solution. By integrating through the sidebar, it allows users to view Agent status without leaving the DSH environment. For plugin details, see the SkillHub directory. The source code is available at GitHub.
