Introduction¶
The DeepSeek Harness sidebar can become crowded as conversations accumulate. For developers who frequently switch contexts, a messy list can be visually distracting. The dsh-session-archive plugin provides a management solution: temporarily unused conversations can be moved to the bottom of the sidebar, keeping the main workspace tidy.
Plugin Overview¶
This is a session archive and restore plugin for the web version of DeepSeek Harness. It is maintained by OpenSaozi and uses the MIT License. Its core purpose is to hide temporarily unused conversations from the main list and provide an archive entry at the bottom of the sidebar.
Core Features¶
- One-click archive and restore: Click Archive from the session action menu, then click Restore from the bottom of the sidebar to recover it.
- Pure slot-based injection: Injected through the
sidebar.workspaces.archiveslot; it does not leave redundant UI when uninstalled. - Non-destructive lifecycle: Archiving only hides the session; it does not alter underlying logs or workspace records.
- Preserved history readability: Archived conversations can still be opened directly for viewing.
Installation and Activation¶
The plugin is installed into the Web profile through the plugin manager. Since the repository includes prebuilt artifacts, installation does not require local build steps.
dsh plugin --profile web add github:OpenSaozi/dsh-session-archive#<commit-sha>
After running the installation, refresh the page; an area named “Archived (n)” will appear at the bottom of the sidebar.
Typical Usage¶
- Click “Archive” in the action menu of any session.
- Refresh the page.
- Go to the bottom of the sidebar and expand “Archived (n)”.
- In the archive list, click a session to view it, or click “Restore” to move it back to its original workspace.
Notes¶
- Archive means hide: Archiving only hides the session; it does not delete the underlying record data.
- Privacy protection: The plugin does not store prompts, model responses, or private credentials; it only calls the host workspace archive API.
- Version compatibility: Requires the
@deepseek-ai/dsh-client-ui-workspacepackage from the corresponding DeepSeek Harness version to declare thesidebar.workspaces.archivesubslot.
Summary¶
For developers who need to manage a large number of historical sessions, this plugin offers a lightweight organization solution. It does not intrude into the main interface or alter the underlying data logic; it only manages historical records through the sidebar entry.
