Introduction

The DeepSeek Harness (DSH) ecosystem emphasizes a plugin-based architecture, and terminal interaction is the core of the interaction between developers and intelligent agents. dshx-tui is a terminal TUI frontend implementation for DeepSeek Harness, focused on the dshX brand experience.

Core Positioning

It is a fork of dsh-TUI, retaining the original Claude Code-style interaction while integrating dshX branding elements on top of that foundation, including a clean startup screen, brand configuration overrides, and an optimized status bar display.

Key Features

  • Branding and Startup Screen: Provides a dshX-branded startup screen. The pixel whale and block-style large text are hidden by default, and wordmark, showWhale, and hideBigText can be overridden via configuration.
  • Status Bar and Context: Displays tool call count, thinking/execution duration, and token consumption using enterprise-grade standard wording; the Context bar shows the remaining token count in a simplified form.
  • Session Management: Supports session creation and resumption, and provides the --resume parameter for quick recovery.
  • Commands and Capabilities: Supports /preset and /model for switching between presets and models; integrates skills, MCP, sub-agents, and questionnaire features; supports theme switching and mode cycling with Shift+Tab.
