The web interface of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) provides a certain level of customization. When developers want to quickly change the interface style, or simply improve the visual experience, directly modifying the code is often too expensive. The dsh-skin-collection plugin solves this problem by providing multiple prebuilt skin styles, offering a non-invasive visual upgrade to the DSH Web GUI.
Plugin Overview¶
This is a plugin that provides a multi-style skin collection for the DeepSeek Harness (DSH) Web GUI. The author is NonchalantLudens. The plugin uses scoped CSS and a sidebar manager to implement skin switching and color-scheme locking independently of the default theme.
Core Features¶
- 9 preset themes: built-in wabi-sabi, terminal, cyberpunk, film-noir, swiss, bauhaus, brutalism, dark-glass, and pixel-retro styles.
- Scoped CSS: isolates styles with the
body[data-dsh-skin-<id>]attribute, ensuring that skins do not interfere with one another. - Sidebar skin manager: provides a skin selection entry point at the bottom of the Web interface sidebar.
- Independent color schemes: skins can lock their color scheme, while supporting independent switching of the base color scheme (follow system / light / dark).
Installation and Activation¶
- Run the installation command:
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-skin-collection
- After installation, restart the
dsh webservice to load the plugin. - After restarting, a Skin button appears at the bottom of the sidebar. Click it to make a selection.
Typical Usage¶
Click the Skin button at the bottom of the sidebar and choose a style from the list (for example, wabi-sabi or cyberpunk). The system applies the skin and its corresponding locked color scheme. To restore the factory-default DSH UI, select Default Style.
Notes¶
- No build scripts: This plugin contains no build scripts; it consists purely of prebuilt files, so installation carries no code-execution risk.
- Theme override: selecting a skin overrides the default theme settings; the color scheme is locked by the skin, and switching skins automatically switches the color scheme.
- Target users: developers or users who want to quickly change the DSH Web interface style.
This plugin manages skins in a data-driven way and has strong extensibility. Source code and documentation are available at: GitHub.
