Introduction¶
In DeepSeek Harness (DSH), the default behavior is usually: when a question is posed in Chinese, the final answer is in Chinese, but the internal reasoning/thinking remains in English. This can interfere with debugging or scenarios that require tracing the complete chain of thought. This plugin solves this problem.
Plugin Positioning¶
This is a global plugin intended to make DeepSeek Harness Agents use Simplified Chinese in both thinking and responses. It is maintained by Mr-cjf and applies to all agent presets.
Core Features¶
- Globally effective: It applies to all agent presets; switching presets will not disable it.
- Instruction injection: It injects instructions into the global
systemPrompt. - Language enforcement: It forces the model’s reasoning and answers to use Simplified Chinese.
- No dependencies: It does not rely on translation services or APIs.
Installation and Enablement¶
Install it using the officially recommended registry method:
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-think-in-chinese
After installation, restart the DSH process for it to take effect.
Working Principle¶
The plugin registers a global prompt section on the Host half using systemPrompt.section(). The order of this section is set to -50, placing it before the persona and ensuring global application. Since it directly modifies the prompt structure, it does not need to call any translation service or API.
File Structure¶
The plugin includes the following core files:
- lib/index.js — Host half: registers the global “think in Chinese” prompt section
- cordis.patch.yml — bundle patch: inserts the plugin line
- package.json — package metadata (contains dsh.bundle.patch pointing to the patch)
Applicable Scenarios and Notes¶
This plugin is suitable for users who need unified Simplified Chinese reasoning and responses in DSH.
Note: The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. Before installing it, it is recommended to review the source code and the license (MIT).
