Introduction¶
The core philosophy of DeepSeek Harness is “everything is a plugin.” In model inference tasks, in addition to focusing on results, it is crucial to have real-time visibility into token consumption and cost. dsh-token-anxiety, as a plugin, aims to address this need by providing a visual cost monitoring solution.
What Is This¶
This is a DeepSeek Harness plugin for tracking the token cost of each task in real time. It supports multiple currencies and interface switching, is maintained by user mov-eax-eax, and is positioned as an auxiliary tool for model inference.
Core Features¶
- Track the token cost of each task in real time.
- Display DeepSeek pricing status (peak/valley).
- Support multiple currencies (default COP/USD/CNY + 40+).
- One-click analysis of token spending.
- Support dark/light modes and Chinese/English interfaces.
- Zero additional dependencies.
Installation and Enablement¶
- Ensure the environment meets the requirements: DeepSeek Harness >= 0.1.1-rc.2 and Node.js 22+.
- Run the installation command in the terminal:
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-token-anxiety
- After installation, restart the
dsh webserver to load the plugin.
Typical Usage¶
- After restarting the server, find the widget below the chat editor.
- Hover over or click the widget to open the pop-up and view the real-time cost overview.
- In the task list, click a task row to run the “Explain” analysis.
- Add or remove currencies in the currency selector in the pop-up.
Use Cases and Notes¶
This plugin is integrated via cordis.patch.yml and has no runtime dependencies. Security-wise, all HTTP routes are limited to POST, strict input validation is applied, and browser trust mechanisms are enforced. The analysis feature includes rate limiting and timeouts to prevent abuse, and it does not write to session logs.
Short Conclusion¶
This plugin is suitable for developers who require fine-grained cost control. For more details, visit GitHub.
