在 DeepSeek Harness (DSH) 的插件化架构中，将外部 MCP 服务转化为本地可调用的能力是提升智能体通用性的关键。智谱的 GLM Coding Plan 提供了联网搜索、网页读取和开源仓库操作等能力。本插件将智谱的 MCP 服务器能力以 DSH 原生 provider 和工具的形式引入，替换或补充原有的 web_search/web_fetch 后端，并注册 github_* 工具。

Core Features

This plugin provides the following capabilities:

  • Web Search: Takes over DSH’s web_search tool and uses Zhipu’s web_search_prime.
  • Web Page Reading: Takes over DSH’s web_fetch tool and uses Zhipu’s webReader to return Markdown.
  • Open-Source Repository Tools: Registers three native tools: github_search_doc, github_get_repo_structure, and github_read_file.

Installation

Install using the official npm registry:

dsh plugin --profile web add deepseek-harness-zhipu_plan_tools

Open Design or headless profiles can also be installed using the same command.

Configuration and Usage

After installation, complete the following steps to enable the features.

1. Add a Provider

In DSH Settings → Models, select zai-coding-cn from the provider dropdown. This is Zhipu’s China endpoint.

2. Configure Credentials

The plugin references the name ZAI_CODING_CN_API_KEY by default. Ensure that this API key exists in an environment variable or in ~/.dsh/.credentials.yaml.

3. Plugin Settings

Open DSH Settings → Plugins → Plugin Settings and expand the Zhipu Tools card. The configuration items are described below:

Behavior Notes

  • Minimal Preset: Under the minimal preset, the plugin does not register a web_search shadow and continues to honor the dual-tool commitment.
  • Compatibility Fallback: After disabling search or page reading, the plugin automatically enters compatibility fallback mode (using DeepSeek search or restricted HTTP fetching).
  • Security: The API key is never written to configuration files or logs.
  • Hot Reload: Host-side artifacts support hot reload; after modifying the src/ directory and running the build, changes take effect.

Use Cases and Cautions

This plugin is suitable for DSH users who want to leverage Zhipu’s GLM Coding Plan for powerful web access and code repository analysis. Before using it, ensure that your DeepSeek Harness version is ≥ 0.1.5-rc.1.
