Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) provides a plugin-based extension architecture. The default Web interface style is fixed; to modify backgrounds, color schemes, or layout details, you usually need to modify the source code. dsh-theme-customizer encapsulates these customization needs as a plugin and provides a visual configuration panel, supporting real-time preview, persistent saving, and export/import of configuration files.

Plugin Overview

This plugin is maintained by lxxz1918 under the MIT license. Its core value lies in fully visual theme customization for the DSH Web interface, covering backgrounds, text, borders, and detail styles. Settings are persisted locally through localStorage and can be exported as a .tczp file for import on other devices to restore the entire effect.

Core Features

  1. Multi-area Background Customization
Supports background configuration for 7 areas, including the main interface, sidebar, conversation area, input area, settings interface, floating panel, and Cordis plugin interface.

    • Each area supports solid color, images (with region cropping), transparency, and base color.
    • The main interface supports independent configuration for two display modes: “including the sidebar” and “excluding the sidebar.”
    • Sidebar images support a fade-out effect without affecting the top UI.
  2. Global Detail Adjustments

    • Borders and Fonts: Supports independent configuration of border/divider colors and transparency for each area, as well as five text color categories: body, process, auxiliary, muted, and emphasized.
    • Logo and Welcome Page: Allows adjusting the top-left Logo color, the icon style after collapsing the sidebar, and the icon, title, and badge colors on the new-session welcome page.
    • Conversation and Input Areas: Customize bubble styles, code blocks (background and scrollbars), input box height, statistics bar display items, and button styles.
  3. Management and Utilities

    • Preset System: Supports importing and exporting presets (.tczp format, including images), renaming, deletion, and drag-and-drop reordering.
    • Floating Panel: Provides a draggable mini settings panel for quick adjustments.
    • Layout Adjustment: The settings panel supports dragging to reposition and one-click reset.
    • Global Restoration: Supports one-click reset of all settings.

Installation and Enablement

Use the official installation command to add the plugin. After installation, restart DSH Web for the changes to take effect.

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-theme-customizer

Usage

  1. General Adjustments: Open DSH settings, click “Theme,” and adjust backgrounds, colors, and styles item by item in the panel. Changes take effect immediately.
  2. Quick Adjustments: Click the “↗ Open Floating Panel” button in the top-right corner of the interface to use the mini panel for quick settings toggles.
  3. Effect Verification: Send a prompt in the conversation area to directly test the actual effect of conversation-area detail options, such as bubbles and code blocks.

Notes

  1. Persistent Cordis Button: To enable the “Persistent Cordis Button” feature in theme settings, the dsh-client-ui-cordis patch is required. The plugin package includes an apply-patch.cjs script, which must be run to apply the patch.
    node apply-patch.cjs
  1. Version Compatibility: Upgrading the official DSH package overwrites the plugin directory, so the patch command must be run again after upgrading.
  2. Uninstallation: Run the removal command to uninstall.
dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-theme-customizer

Conclusion

This plugin resolves DSH Web interface customization needs through a visual approach. It is suitable for developers who need a unified visual style or want to synchronize theme configurations across different devices. See the GitHub repository for source code and documentation.
