Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a modular plugin architecture. The lubaiUwU/dsh-wechatclawbot plugin implements WeChat client integration. Through a locally running gateway service, it relays WeChat messages to the DSH agent for processing and supports automatic replies.

This solution does not depend on OpenClaw, but directly uses Tencent’s official iLink protocol (same source as @tencent-weixin/openclaw-weixin). It provides DSH with an independent WeChat conversation area; messages will not mix into the native GUI session, making it suitable for scenarios that require local WeChat automation.

Core Features

  • Scan Code and Use: Scan the QR code with the floating ball in the bottom-right corner of the GUI to log in. Login credentials are saved locally and automatically restored after restarting DSH.
  • Independent Conversation Area: WeChat messages enter an independent conversation window with continuous context, without interfering with the native GUI session.
  • Conversation Switching: Supports switching independent conversation areas by sending /new, /新对话 or clicking “New Conversation” in the floating ball panel.
  • ClawBot Dedicated Model: Configure the model in the floating ball panel (supports quick selection or custom) and thinking strength (off/high/max); the configuration only applies to WeChat turns.
  • Contact Whitelist: All contacts are allowed by default. You can approve or ignore new contacts in the panel.

Installation and Activation

Users do not need to manually handle complex dependencies or paths. Installation can be done through DSH’s natural-language interface or CLI command.

1. User Installation Command

Say any of the following to DSH:

请帮我安装插件 https://github.com/lubaiUwU/DSH-WeChatClawBot

Or run in the terminal:

dsh plugin --profile <profile> add github:lubaiUwU/DSH-WeChatClawBot

(Note: replace <profile> according to your actual situation, such as desktop or web)

2. Agent Installation Steps

The installation process is handled automatically by the Agent and must be completed in sequence:

  1. Determine Profile: Detect the $DSH_HOME/profiles/ directory. The priority is desktop > web > others.
  2. Run Installation: Execute the dsh plugin add command.
  3. Handle Dependency Shim: If an allowBuilds error occurs, edit pnpm-workspace.yaml and add:
    allowBuilds:
      dsh-wechat-clawbot: true
Then rerun the installation command.
  1. Restart DSH: After installation, you must restart DSH or DSH Desktop to load the plugin.

Typical Usage

After installation and restart, a green WeChat floating ball appears in the bottom-right corner. Follow these steps:

  1. Log In: Click the floating ball and scan the QR code with your phone. The first login may require a verification code.
  2. Chat: Send a message via WeChat. The message will be sent directly to DSH’s independent WeChat conversation area.
  3. Switch: Click “New Conversation” in WeChat or the panel to start a new context window.
  4. Configure: Set the model key and thinking strength in the floating ball panel.
  5. Approve: For new contacts, the panel will prompt you to approve or ignore them.

Environment and Architecture

  • Runtime Environment:
    • Node.js: Version >= 22.19 is required.
    • DSH Desktop: The gateway service must be started using the environment variable ELECTRON_RUN_AS_NODE=1.
  • Local Ports:
    • 127.0.0.1:51235: WeChat gateway (handles protocol send/receive and login).
    • 127.0.0.1:51236: Model configuration endpoint (used by the floating ball to read/write configuration).
  • Data Storage:
    • The state directory is located at ~/.dsh-wechat/ and contains login credentials, the whitelist, model configuration, and session mappings.

Use Cases and Notes

  • Target Users: Developers or individual users who need WeChat automation interaction in the DSH environment.
  • Protocol Source: WeChat integration uses Tencent’s official iLink protocol. The core code is MIT licensed.
  • Risk Warnings:
    • For learning and personal automation research only.
    • There is a risk of account risk control. It is strongly recommended to use a secondary account.
    • Personal WeChat automation actions may lead to account restrictions or bans. Users must assess the consequences themselves.
