When developing agents in DeepSeek Harness (DSH), images are usually embedded as thumbnails. To inspect details, users typically need to save the image and view it externally. The following plugin provides a full-screen viewing experience in the chat interface.

Installation

Open a terminal and run the following command to install the plugin:

Typical usage

  1. Place the image file in the DSH upload directory ~/.dsh/uploads/.
  2. Reference the image using Markdown syntax in the AI response:

Notes

  • URL format requirement: Images must use an http(s) URL. The plugin does not render base64 or data-URI images.
  • Hotlink protection issue: If the image hosting platform has hotlink protection enabled, the image may appear blank.
  • Cross-origin downloads: Cross-origin images may not trigger the “Save As” dialog and may instead open directly in a new tab.
  • Process restart: After installing or modifying plugin configuration, you must fully quit all DSH Desktop processes and restart them for the plugin to take effect.
