Preface

Starting with version 0.1.0-rc.8, DeepSeek Harness (DSH) defaults to opening a browser and visiting http://127.0.0.1:3080 when Web mode is started. This default behavior may interfere with scenarios that run in the background or use custom browser management. This plugin modifies the Cordis configuration and locks the Web runtime openBrowser setting to false, thereby disabling automatic browser launch.

Plugin Positioning

  • Name: dsh-web-noopenbrowser
  • Maintainer: lovezi0
  • Type: Client plugin
  • License: MIT
  • Positioning: Pure Cordis bundle patch (only cordis.patch.yml), with zero JavaScript code and zero build steps.

Installation and Enablement

Before using this plugin, ensure that DeepSeek Harness and its CLI are installed (the dsh command is available), and that the DSH version is 0.1.0-rc.8 or higher.

It is recommended to install it directly from the GitHub repository:

dsh plugin --profile web add github:lovezi0/dsh-web-noOpenBrowser

For local development or source modifications, you can clone the repository and then use:

git clone https://github.com/lovezi0/dsh-web-noOpenBrowser.git
cd dsh-web-noOpenBrowser
dsh plugin --profile web add .

Note: This plugin is not published to the npm registry and does not support npm source installation via dsh plugin add <package-name>.

Core Features

  1. Configuration locking: Intercepts the configuration injection for web-runtime and forces openBrowser to be set to false.
  2. Persistent effect: Once installed, running dsh --profile web will no longer automatically open the browser.
  3. Dependency-free build: Contains only the cordis.patch.yml file, without requiring npm install or npm run build.

Verification and Uninstallation

After installation, verify whether the configuration is effective by using --dump-config:

dsh --profile web --dump-config | Select-String -Pattern "web-runtime|openBrowser"

The expected output should include openBrowser: false.

To uninstall:

dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-web-noopenbrowser

Brief Closing

This plugin addresses the issue of forced browser launch when DSH starts in Web mode, providing a persistent way to disable this behavior. The source code and project page are available at: GitHub.
