Introduction¶
In DSH’s agent development workflow, after an agent generates or modifies code, developers often need to review these changes in the WebUI or make manual edits. dsh-file-edit provides the ability to browse workspace files, review Agent changes (accept/reject/undo), edit inline, view diffs, and render Markdown.
Plugin Overview¶
This is a file browser plugin that runs in DSH WebUI. It integrates a file editor, diff viewer, Markdown renderer, and an integrated terminal view with automatic detection of project run targets. This plugin allows developers to have fine-grained control over file changes made by agents.
Core Features¶
- Workspace file browser: Manage project files directly in the WebUI.
- Agent change review: For files modified by agents, provide operations to accept, reject, or undo.
- Full editing: Supports undo/redo, saving, and autosave, allowing developers to directly modify file contents.
- Diff view: Displays changed content.
- Markdown rendering: Correctly renders Markdown files in the WebUI.
- Integrated terminal: Provides a terminal view and automatically detects the project’s run targets.
Installation and Enablement¶
Use the official installation script.
.\install.ps1
After installation is complete, restart DSH to use this plugin in the WebUI.
Uninstall¶
To uninstall, you can use the following commands:
# Installed via npm
pnpm dsh plugin --profile web remove @justarook1e/dsh-ide-lite
# Installed via git / install.ps1 (legacy dependency key)
pnpm dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-file-edit
Or run install.ps1 -Uninstall. It takes effect after restarting DSH.
Optional: delete the runtime review state directory ~\.dsh\dsh-file-edit-state (this will lose the historical “reject” baseline but does not affect any code files).
Use Cases and Notes¶
- Use cases: Developers who need to frequently view, edit, or review files generated or modified by agents in the WebUI.
- Permission note: The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process.
- Maintenance status: The project is no longer maintained and has migrated to
justarook1e/dsh-ide-lite. The original installation methods (install.ps1and therawdirect link) remain available via GitHub redirects, but migration is recommended as soon as possible. The migration only changes the distribution package name; runtime identifiers (routes and state directory) have not changed, and old state does not need to be migrated.
Summary¶
dsh-file-edit provides DSH developers with a visual file workspace, addressing the need to review and edit agent changes in the WebUI. Although the project is no longer maintained, its core features still work normally in the current environment.
