Introduction

The core philosophy of DSH (DeepSeek Harness) is “everything is a plugin.” During complex reasoning or multi-turn conversations, models can easily drift away from the goals, boundaries, and evaluation criteria set by the user. dsh-plugin-discussion-intent provides a Discussion Mode that helps maintain conversational coherence and goal orientation by continuously injecting intent and converging exploration into an executable next step.

Plugin Purpose

This is a DSH Discussion Mode plugin maintained by JinPLu. It prevents drift in complex AI conversations by continuously injecting goals, boundaries, and evaluation criteria, and turns exploratory discussions into evidence-based next actions.

Core Features

  1. No intent drift: Goals, boundaries, evaluation criteria, and negations are continuously injected. The root question can be changed only after user acceptance; the working focus can be drilled down; poll selections count as things the user has said; new evidence is first treated as candidates.
  2. Subagent model self-selection: Select a model from the catalog and remember it. If no model is selected, spawning fails; the parent thread model remains unchanged.
  3. From vague to executable: /discussion 1|2|3 sets depth only; it does not set a topic. The discussion starts with the next prompt.
  4. Four-line Rail for course correction at any time: A single top bar is displayed by default; expanding it shows four lines; the official Goal bar is hidden during an active discussion.
  5. Discussion resumability: Checkpoints are written to the workspace and can be restored after a restart.
  6. Poll selections count as things you have said: The host writes a decision, which is treated as confirmed information.

Installation and Enabling

Use the official installation command to add the plugin.

dsh plugin --profile web add @jinplu/dsh-plugin-discussion-intent

Notes

  • Dependency version: It depends on the public API of the released DSH 0.1.0-rc.6.
  • No Web Server: Without webServer, functionality remains complete; only the Rail is unavailable.
  • File persistence: Checkpoints are written to .dsh/discussions/<session-id>.json and .md.
  • No custom events: No custom conversation events are written.
