Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) extends functionality through its plugin system. In the Web workspace, the default interface is static. The dsh-plugin-wallpaper plugin addresses this by allowing users to upload local images, crop them, and set them as the workspace background.
Plugin Overview¶
This is the DeepSeek Harness Web wallpaper plugin. It allows uploading and cropping local images to set the desktop background for the Web workspace. It is maintained by JerryPhoenixCKY, falls under the “Fun Reskinning” category, and is licensed under the MIT License.
Core Features¶
- Settings Page: A dedicated wallpaper page in Settings: preview, upload, replace, and remove.
- Crop Tool: A crop dialog after upload: drag to move, eight resize handles, aspect ratio lock (default), and optional blur export.
- Instant Apply: No refresh required; automatically restored after refresh.
- Parameter Adjustments: Adjustable parameters include fit mode (cover/contain/center/stretch), panel opacity, and mask dimming.
- Browser Processing: Cropping and compression in the browser: WebP format, longest edge ≤ 2560px, quality 0.85.
- Persistence: Settings are saved in the
wallpapersection of$DSH_HOME/settings.yaml.

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-plugin-wallpaper
After installation, restart dsh web to load the plugin:
dsh web
Typical Usage¶

- Click Upload Image and select a local image (≤ 20 MB).
- Adjust the crop area in the dialog box, then apply it as the background.

Use Cases and Notes¶
- Use Cases: Users who want to personalize the appearance of their Web workspace.
- Permission Limits: Uploading and editing require the page to be opened from the local host (localhost). Other machines on the LAN can see the background, but write operations are rejected (the write channel trusts loopback only).
- Storage Location: Images are stored in
$DSH_HOME/storages/wallpaper/. - Dependencies: Depends on the
@deepseek-ai/cordispeer dependency.
Conclusion¶
