In the DeepSeek Harness (DSH) plugin ecosystem, in addition to extending functionality, we sometimes only need a way to quickly launch the Web interface. Some existing solutions may carry extra overhead such as a persistent tray icon, embedded WebView, or data collection. dsh-minimal-launcher-plugin aims to address this by providing a pure launcher entry point.
What It Is¶
This is a minimalist Windows launch plugin. It is maintained by imaginevoldermert. It does not handle complex UI management; instead, it executes the npx @deepseek-ai/dsh web command via the EXE shipped with the plugin to directly open DSH’s Web interface.
Core Features¶
- Launch DSH Web: provides direct access to the Web interface.
- Minimalist design: no tray icon, WebView, plugin management, or automatic updates.
- Privacy protection: it does not read or upload DSH configurations, sessions, plugins, chat history, or other local data.
- Ready to use out of the box: the EXE is shipped with the plugin and is ready for use after installation.
- Platform limitation: Windows only.
Installation and Enabling¶
Install the plugin using the official command:
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-minimal-launcher-plugin
After installation, simply restart the DSH application.
Typical Usage¶
After installing and restarting, you can use it in the following two ways:
- Chat command: Request “Launch the DSH Minimal Launcher” in the conversation.
- Tool call: Directly invoke the
dsh_minimal_launchertool.
Use Cases and Notes¶
This plugin is suitable for scenarios where you need to quickly launch the Web interface in a Windows environment and do not want to introduce extra components or data collection behavior.
Notes:
* The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process.
* Please make sure to check the source code and license (MIT License) before installation.
* Currently, only the Windows operating system is supported.
Conclusion¶
By stripping away unnecessary features and focusing on the launch action itself, this plugin provides a lightweight option for developers who need quick access to DSH Web. For more details and source code, visit the GitHub repository.
