In the DeepSeek Harness (DSH) environment, agents often need to process attachments or Markdown text and convert it into presentation slides. Manual conversion is time-consuming and difficult to keep format-consistent. The dsh-ppt-studio plugin is designed to solve this problem, allowing agents to directly convert Markdown or attachments into self-contained HTML slide decks, editable PPTX files, and JSON manifests.

Plugin Overview

dsh-ppt-studio is a DSH plugin maintained by developer Huauauaa. Its core function is to generate presentation slides from Markdown content. The plugin is released under the MIT license and is not an official DeepSeek component.

Configuration Notes

After installation, configure it in the settings panel of the Web interface. PPT Studio is located on the settings.section page.

  • Theme selection: Choose one built-in theme (such as swiss) for the HTML player and PPTX output.
  • Language setting: Set the default language for the player interface (zh or en).
  • Save defaults: Write the above settings into the host’s settings document.
  • Master file path: Enter the absolute or relative path to a .pptx file in the host filesystem. The path must be readable by the dsh process; the browser cannot upload the file directly.

Tool Usage

The plugin provides three main tools:

  1. ppt_create: Core tool for generating HTML, PPTX, and JSON.
    • Parameters:
      • title: Slide title.
      • content: Markdown content or structured slides data.
      • theme: Optional, overrides the configured theme.
      • lang: Optional, overrides the configured language.
      • outputDir: Optional, output directory.
      • fileName: Optional, output file name.
      • useMaster: Optional, whether to use the master file.
  2. ppt_themes: Lists all available built-in themes.
  3. ppt_templates: Reports the current default theme and master file status.

Notes and Limitations

  1. Plugin conflict: This plugin has the same tool names as the existing community dsh-ppt plugin, so both cannot be installed at the same time; choose one of the two.
  2. Master file limitations:
    • Master files are only used for approximate mapping of theme colors into HTML. PPTX generation appends text boxes to the master file, but does not support mapping placeholders, charts, animations, or notes.
    • Invalid master files (missing path, non-zip, or missing required XML) will be rejected.
    • The master file path must be a host filesystem path, not a browser sandbox path.
  3. Missing features: Does not support Slidev, chart generation, or automatic translation.
  4. Non-official: This plugin is not affiliated with official DeepSeek.
