Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a plugin-based architecture. In long sessions, users may have difficulty quickly locating a specific node or message cluster. The dsh-sctrk plugin provides a visual Session Trajectory Bar, mapping the entire session content through a floating track on the right side of the interface.

Plugin Overview

This is a DSH client plugin maintained by He2way and licensed under the MIT License. It solves long-session navigation by using a floating “Session Trajectory Bar” on the right side of the interface. The plugin maps each chat node in the current session (user messages, assistant replies, tool calls, etc.) to a tick on the track; dense nodes are automatically aggregated into gradient cluster points.

Core Features

  1. 8px Track Mapping and Coloring
The track is 8px wide and maps the entire session. Individual nodes are colored by type (a low-saturation Morandi palette); dense nodes are aggregated into gradient cluster points.

  2. Hover Snapping and Preview
When the mouse enters the track interaction zone, the nearest tick/cluster point extends and becomes darker, clearly indicating that it is clickable. At the same time, a frosted-glass floating window appears, showing the cluster composition (for example, User×5 · Assistant×4) and content previews for each node.

  3. Click Navigation and Drag Scrolling
Click a tick, cluster point, floating window item, or the area between the floating window and a tick to precisely jump to the corresponding node. Click the track itself or press and drag to scroll the session proportionally.

  4. Theme Adaptation
The floating window and track styles follow the DSH theme and support light/dark mode switching.

Installation and Activation

A DSH profile is required (default is web). The plugin declares dsh.bundle, and the dsh plugin command automatically adds it to the profile’s bundle list, without requiring manual patch changes.

Installation Command

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-sctrk

Notes

  • If installation from a git source dependency with pnpm is blocked by build restrictions, add the corresponding key under allowBuilds in $DSH_HOME/profiles/web/pnpm-workspace.yaml.
  • After installation, restart the dsh web process (or reload the profile), and force-refresh the browser page (Ctrl+Shift+R).

Usage Steps

  1. Move the mouse to the track (the 8px vertical bar on the right) or into its left-side interaction zone. The nearest tick/cluster point extends and darkens, and the floating window appears.
  2. Click a tick / cluster point / floating window item / the area between the floating window and a tick to jump to the corresponding node.
  3. Click the track itself or press and drag to scroll the session proportionally.

Technical Details

  • No build step; lib/client.js is both the source and the artifact (ModuleLoader format).
  • Depends on React ^18.2.0.
  • Uses ResizeObserver and MutationObserver to automatically respond to window changes and the arrival of new messages.
