Preface

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) supports extending functionality through plugins. In DSH’s operational logic, archiving a session moves it into the global archive set, where it is usually hidden by the sidebar grouping view and search functionality. The dsh-archived-sessions plugin aims to solve this “one-way door” problem, providing a visual recovery entry point for archived sessions and ensuring that session logs and workspace accounting remain alive during archiving.

Plugin Introduction

This is a DSH plugin developed by maintainer hashdiana. Its core purpose is to add an “Archived Sessions” section in the DeepSeek Harness settings panel. Through this section, users can view all hidden sessions and reopen them directly by clicking list items.

Core Features

  1. Adds a Settings Section: In the settings panel of the Web profile, an “Archived sessions” option appears in the navigation bar.
  2. Lists Archived Sessions: This section lists archived sessions, which are invisible to the sidebar by default.
  3. Restores Sessions: It provides the ability to restore archived sessions; clicking a session in the list reopens it.
  4. Data Retention: Session logs and workspace accounting are not lost during archiving.

Installation and Enablement

This plugin is a pure client-side plugin. After installation, the target profile must be restarted for it to take effect.

The installation command is as follows:

npx -p @deepseek-ai/dsh dsh plugin --profile web add github:hashdiana/dsh-archived-sessions

Typical Usage

  1. Open the settings panel of the Web profile.
  2. Find and enter the “Archived sessions” section in the navigation bar.
  3. Archive a session.
  4. The archived session immediately appears in the “Archived sessions” list.
  5. Click the session entry in the list to reopen it.

Notes

  • Pure Client-Side: The plugin runs entirely on the client side.
  • Open Source License: Based on the MIT license.
  • Restart Required: The corresponding profile must be restarted after installation is complete.
  • Platform Limitations: Based on verified facts, the plugin currently supports the Web profile; desktop support is not clearly supported.

Summary

Archiving a session should not be an irreversible operation. dsh-archived-sessions provides a visual list in the settings panel, allowing hidden sessions to be retrieved at any time. If you need to view the source code or submit feedback, you can visit the project’s GitHub repository.
